I agree with these statements.

Pegula doesn't care about the money. Win or Lose, the money doesn't matter to him. He bought the teams to keep them in the city. Should he be more involved, or less involved? I don't know.

Was Housley the wrong choice? It's too early to tell in my opinion. The talent level of the team is no where near what you would likely need to run the system that Housley wants. Botterill and Housley likely have a plan and it sucks that it's going to take another lost year before we can go somewhere (hopefully).

If everyone wants Eichel to stop whining, and losing it in the locker room, make him the captain and hold him accountable. Or make someone the captain and tell him to stop acting like a child.

The leadership by committee thing is not working.

It's just fans looking for a scapegoat. Here's a statement that I'm sure many will disagree with:

Russ Brandon is a scapegoat.

Aside from his brief and terrible tenure as GM, he's not responsible for the organizational failures of the past 17 years. Many other have come in here and been spectacular losers. I get that he's symbolic of the drought, and now that he's part of the Sabres, he's got some blemishes there too, but the failures of the organizations are essentially the same, and he's not responsible for the major problem:

There isn't enough talent at key positions.

Russ Brandon doesn't make personnel choices, ergo, he is not responsible for the failure (again, with the caveat that he sucked as GM like 10 years ago).

Sure, fire him, but that's not gonna help you scout the next franchise QB or goalie or Dman. Russ Brandon is a glorified carny barker telling fans to "step right up and see the wonderific, phasmagoric Bills!" He's a hype man and a business man. He's Flavor Flav

The only thing about Brandon is that it was rumored that his word was taken higher than most.

I highly doubt that is true as he is fine on the business side of things and his sports acumen is sub-par.

Just did a comparison of the House and Senate versions of the Tax Reform bills.

Using my own income profile, I will be paying somewhere between $3,000 and $10,000 more in taxes next year depending on how the House and Senate reconciles this thing.

I know that this is the best thing for the franchise, but as an old guy, I feel bad for Matt.

5 mil to ride the bus and play a game you love at a lower level? I think he'll be fine.

There are rules about how many NHL vets can suit up per game too, so i'm sure they'll let him just play home games if he wants, or they might even just let him sit at home. Up to him how he deals with it. He was done

Not a knock on having a wife and kids, but this seems to be a trend with players in their 30's who fall off the radar

Erod called up to the big club. Last year's team rookie of the year was the missing ingredient. Criscoulo sent down. Needed for all the Christmas cookies. HEYYYYYYYOHHHHHHH. Often imitated, never duplicated.
