Four games. And probably nothing. Our AHL team is better than our NHL team.

What’s up with Girgensons? He seems to have faded a bit? Needs a change of scenery?

I have to be honest. I never heard the "Muzza" nickname before. Is that what they call him?

A lot of Murrays down here get called Muzza.

Jarrs is the Mac these days. All the pundits can put the “Pens looking for a goaltender” nonsense to bed. Still have a huge need for a 3C but glad McPlugg is out of the playing lineup.

My god that shot is fücking amazing. The goalie knows it’s coming but has no answer. Accurate, hard and such a quick release.

Sheahan has definitely been better, but he's still lackluster IMO.

That play he just could have made from behind the net is my prime example. He just doesn't react fast enough offensively.

I really hope these two games don't give the Pens a false sense of security when they face the Rangers.

Sid would be right up with the scoring leaders if his wings buried half of his beautiful set-ups.

Strong play on Hags goal though. He’s not hurting us. Just not standing out at all.

Can we recognize that Letang has been better over the past few games?

EDIT: I posted this before Letang's breakaway chance.

- Rinosaur

Absolutely.... It's funny, he's now 2 points off of the scoring lead for d-men. Sid's also now only 8 points away from Stamkos..... Phil's 4

His game has just been more solid. The nature of his style will always have a certain degree of turnovers just like Sid and Geno.

That being said he seems more calm and collected. He's not rushing things.

The thing is.....does a third line center need to have a lot of shine? He's actually doing a pretty good job and his defense is vastly underrated. I think he'll end up putting up 10 goals by the end of the season...huge upgrade over what we had.

Honestly, if he stays healthy, and gets his +/- up (because people still look at that) he may be having a Norris worthy campaign.

Funny how quickly things change.

It was just a matter of time and I kept saying that to the people freaking out. You don't miss that much hockey, especially from the type of injury he had and just slide right back in at the level you left.

Sometimes even the top level players could take nearly half a season to start to get back playing at their level.

So, after watching Cole once again step up and look really sharp tonight....would you guys trade him for someone like Reinhart? I don't know if I would.

I'm wondering if it was all a ploy from the Pens to try & get Cole to sign an extension at a team friendly contract. Threaten to move him if he doesn't, or at least show him that they aren't going to talk big, just tough. Go play elsewhere straight away if you won't talk turkey!
