Duclair never “didn’t make it” with NYR
He was traded as a prospect still

He scored 20 goals as a rookie with Arizona
Then had a bad year last season
But he’s on pace for 25 goals this season

Duclair might not be a top line winger,
but calling him a bum is quite the overexaggeration

- jdfitz77

nope, he's a bum that we don't need and a bum that can't make it with Arizona, the Yotes need all the help they can get but yet he can't make the team ? he's a bum.

Navin may have been on to something the other day

"SPORTSNET: Luke Fox examined “6 reasonable reactions” to Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty’s recent comments regarding his free-agent status in 2019. Doughty believes he should earn more than Nashville’s P.K. Subban ($9 million annual cap hit) on his next contract, adding he will touch base with Ottawa Senators blueliner Erik Karlsson (also eligible for UFA status in 2019) regarding contract negotiation strategy and how much he loved playing for Toronto Maple Leafs coach Mike Babcock in the Olympics.

Fox cites colleague Nick Kypreos saying this is a huge distraction for the Kings and Senators, something they don’t need right now. While Kypreos said Doughty’s stance isn’t out of the ordinary it’s not something that’s mentioned in public by a player a year and a half before his UFA eligibility. He points out Doughty and Karlsson are both represented by Newport Sports Management so it’s only natural that they would exchange information. "

Here's what you do. Throw $22M(combined) at both of them and just fill in the bottom 3 of the defense and the bottom 9 of the forwards with AHL guys. Gotta be better than what they are now.

But, what would a deal like that be for Buffalo in return? I know we're paying the price of Bailey to get rid of Okposo, but doesn't something still have to come back? It can't see Okposo and Bailey for Future Considerations. Maybe, we'd get a couple of late rounders.
- sskkoo1

That I don't know but I would take a late pick or a lower end prospect just to move him out.

It's not. This concept has never been pulled off to any degree of success. Once Kane is dealt, he'll never put on a Sabres jersey again.

Keith Tkachuk begs to differ.

Not that I don’t believe that’s what Homie is hearing...
but how many “bad contracts” do we really have going forward?

Moulson & Pommer are done after next year
Bogosian is done the following year

Only Okposo’s seems to loom for a length of time
Some would say O’Reilly as well, but even if he is overpaid, he’s still a good player

With the Cap going up pretty significantly,
I don’t really see signing Kane as an issue

Unless there’s multiple other big $$$ players he’s trying to make room for?

- jdfitz77

Duh, Tavares.

So, I've heard. I don't remember this, though. Who was he dealt to?

Atlanta, then back to St. Louis the next year.

I want to say it was close to happening again the next year.

Edit: Just looked it up, he signed a 2 year deal before the lockout that was a 2 year $22M deal. and he signed a 2 year deal after the lockout that was 2 years $11.4M. The players took a massive hit in '04.

Really, trading Kane, then resigning him on July 1st hasn't crossed your mind?
He isn't going to give up on unrestricted free agency, that's the only way he will be here long term.

I doubt jbotts offers more than other teams.

Not really, Bogo is there in name only, he'll need 10 games to get back into the swing of things.

Hey now ... it doesn’t help when you call people bums

Is it possible That maybe duclair goes back to his rookie year and produces the same way

There are tons of players that have had rough start with teams and have had a very good career on different teams

Very true.
I was referring to okposo here though.
If he can be moved then sign kane if you want to. I personally would rather they both go at this point. Having probably 13 plus million combined betwen the two for the next 5 years isnt a recipe for success if you ask me. If i had to have one or the other give me kane at 7 or 7.5 and move okposo. Never liked the signing from day one there.

- TheHank

Sign Kane if you want to? He has a choice on July 1st. You can't just sign him, he needs to agree to stay in Buffalo on the currently 30th place team

This has been the worst week ever for me 1 Lost my cat 2 lost my iPhone 3 got shorted money now

Ugh ..

Ridiculous I go to church every Sunday what the hell

- gerbe75pts

1. Your fault, don't let your cat out. It's terrible for the cat. Outdoor cats live to 3 or 4 at the most.

2. Your fault.

3. Your fault. Always count your money before you walk away.

and church is just to make you think you're doing something "good" when you probably sit on your phone swiping away on Grindr anyway . It's a scam.

Edit: Just read the bit about the tithing. Even more of a scam. They don't need the money. Do you know how much money the Catholic church has just in real estate?
