Good players lose you games too. It happens since they're the ones out in the critical situations to win you them also. Voracek has been a beast this year. He's one of the few things holding this team together from bottoming out. Why he gets hyper-criticized for several individual mistakes is beyond me. He's not immune to point out some boneheaded plays, because he makes them now and again, but it's a bit much the way he gets criticized. The fact that they're even in these OT situations and whatnot to have mistakes magnified......a lot is going wrong before that.

We have the bulk of the roster actually doing nothing to help win games either. And putting in the work to help lose them. To say nothing of the staff whose fingerprints are all over this team's current state. I pop in here and read all about how bad Ghost, Voracek, Gudas, etc. are and how they're the biggest culprits in how poor this team is. It's truly befuddling.

I wish this team had 3 more Voraceks. We'd actually be winning.

The thing isn't just one or two games he's made the critical error. It's a few during this streak and a couple other losses he's made critical errors and also errors that while they didn't cost us the game they were just scary. I sit behind the net in the second level almost every home game and Jake has made so many passes that either got picked off for a quick odd man rush the other way or that should have been picked off and went the other way it's crazy this season.

I love Jake when he's the bull in the china shop in the offensive zone but if he's making those passes as often as he has this year something has to be done about it.

I used to say we finally have a guy wearing 93 that didn't scare the crap out of me when he was on the ice. This year not so much.

With 1/3 of the roster kids they'll get the pass from me most of the time for trying a play that might end up bad. I hope they learn from it and it doesn't kill the Flyers. With a vet and supposed leader of this team like Jake he should be held to a higher standard.

And believe me I've uttered F'n AMAC quite a few times over the years while at games.

Would actually be awesome to have a Voracek for each line

Demote double coverage Voracek to the 4th line and give top line minutes to skate around all 3 Hurricanes Voracek

Every player makes mistakes. You're only focused on OT situations. It's been happening in many different situations. He's not being hyper criticized, he's being fairly criticized. His mistakes have been egregious. Simply lazy plays and mistakes that are just unnecessary. It's not befuddling at all. It's rather simple. It's a big problem that needs to be fixed. Certainly not the only one.

Stating that anyone has said that Voracek is one of the biggest culprits in how poor this team is hyperbole.

You're conflating improvement with becoming top players. There is a whole lot of room between the two for young players. There is tons of room for improvement with this team. We'll have to see what happens but I don't know how you can say that there won't be much of an improvement this season. There better be or some changes need to be made.
- MJL

Im not confusing anything right now we have young guys playing above what they are ready for plain and simple. Weal is taking Schenn's LW position and he isnt going to even get remotely close to what Schenn put up. Patrick is on pace to finish with 27 points in a spot Couturier put up 34 points with only 66 GP. That is a considerable difference for your second line. No one is ready to take those positions so this team is going to struggle because there wont be any secondary scoring.

The improvements are mental and those take times, they do not get resolved withing half a season or a couple games. It is going to be like this for a few years and the improvements are going to be small increments.

The son is an awesome guy, last year I couldn't get him to a game. He went to the season ticket holder meet and greet instead with me. That was the day I decided no matter how bad Simmer plays I want him a Flyer for life. I'll still rant and rave about his bad play but "Damn that dude is so cool"

I have three close friends with children serving this country and if they get home during season they go to games. It's the least anyone can do for those brave souls who protect our country.

Simply in terms of one player, Weal to simplify it. Showing progress is not Weal matching Schenn's output. It's Weal improving as the season goes along. I have no idea what you're even arguing. Hextall knew he was weakening the team now, to build for the future in trading Schenn.
How can you not see that there is plenty of room for improvement as the season moves along with the majority of the players on the team?

I think we're looking at two different things. I think you're looking at improvement from last season to this season. That's not what I'm looking at right now in the context of if I think Hakstol should remain as coach. If they don't show some significant progress from this point, right now, moving forward for the rest of the season, I think they should look to make a change for next season. If they continue to take steps back and play inconsistent stagnant hockey for the remainder of the season, I think they need to make a change for next season.

I dont see what your issue is. You agree with my point but continue to lose your poop when they lose because of the fact that they are losing games because they are in fact a worse team than last year and expect Hakstol to turn that into an improvement on last season. Are you bi polar or something? I am starting to see why people continue to give you poop all the time. You change your mind more tham most people change their underwear.
