He was good for half a year last year knowing he had to shape up. His career was on the line and he knew it. And good on him for it.

Still, I think the past year, year and a half is the exception, not the rule when you take in his entire body of work. He will not live up to the rumored numbers for a 7 year deal.

Drew Stafford affect. Stafford was good the two years before his contract was up.

I have no idea how he will turn out, but i am very weary of handing out a long term 7MM deal to a player that averages just over 40 points a year.

He was good for half a year last year knowing he had to shape up. His career was on the line and he knew it. And good on him for it.
