Over the past several years we've been players really step up when there's an injury, Andrew Shaw is a perfect example.

My guess....with a more steady schedule of work Forsberg will emerge as a potential starter. I'm not saying he'll steal Crawford's job, Forsberg will just elevate his profile.

Lets hope. This team will really need to focus on D to help out. Team might really come together or......

18 skaters both doing a better job of protecting Forsberg/Berube than they really did for Crawford; and 18 skaters somehow getting more scorers than just Kane, Anisimov and DeBrincat.

We'll find out something else and it is not good.

We'll find teams targeting Toews, Seabrook, add Keith if he is worried also about getting hit and concussed.

We'll find out we only improve a smaller amount when it is third line, third defense pairs. Blackhawk Nation reveres PAST heros Toews, Seabrook, and Keith. They are used in top line TOI. It won't take until end of season to figurr out they need to be replaced with younger playes whom show much promise.

This talk about winning with the core is bullcrap. The core is not going to rise up. Players like Kane, DeBrincat, Schmaultz, Hayden, Saad need to play with players they mesh with, not the fading past heros

You can argue Toewes and Keith are still good. Pretend you are the rival coach. How to stop Toews. Lean on him, play physical. And Keith....he is up and down with his play. A rival coach strategy could be, let him beat us.

We are finding out that the powerplay and Q' stubborn decisions backfire. He trots out Keith on the PP. He does not give Kempny any time. The powerplay remains a farce because net front presence is not always part of their attack. The players do not move around enough and do the same plays. A new coach with authority is needed. Q falls into the That was then, This is now category.

The team may not even finish .500. No one player or players comes in and rescues a shipping ship.

Buy if you were still cheering for Football Jay to rally their team, you mighy also have faith in some old Blackhawks to play the new hard to play against hockey. Right? Not!
.

Don't blame Q for Kempny sitting in the press box game after game. He's had plenty of opportunities over 1-1/2 seasons and unlike Forsling has done, he's never raised his game to a good NHL level. Same errors over and over and that's why he watches the games.

(And its probably Ulfie who doesn't like what he sees).

So in 5 games vs Preds, Blues and Stars, captain has produced 0G 0A

Avs 0G 0A
Wild 1G 1A

One thing is for sure our own division knows how to neutralize the captain

Edit
I know Panik on this line doesn't help but he's not the one making 8 figures. I'd like to see the cat up there so how long do we have to wait

I would not be surprised if we hear CC was injured early on in this game. His slow push off from his right to left post on the wraparound goal sure looked like someone whose groin was tweaked.

That said he was a warrior in the third and kept them in it. At some point this team has to stop hoping they can win games 2-0 or 2-1. The poor play in front of CC will wear him out if he has to play 90% of the games and see 30+ shots every night.

Well, Q’s security blanket is gone now, and it is on him, the coaching staff, and Captain Float to inspire the rest of the team to step it up.

Chance of that happening......

Flip a coin at best, but it may be the only way to get the best out of the rest of the team.

Im not a fan of just making the playoffs or close to it. Numbers can help, but I see with my little eye, Toews and Keith avoiding contact at all costs, Seabrook is toast. That's about $23 million in cap space, hard to build a SC team at the salary cap floor, just ask Arizona

Crow a no show , say it ain't so Joe . Well this changes the equation just a we bit . I was disappointed when the HAWKS lost last night .But really they lost in OT to a good team who have played well of late . The HAWKS came off a big game and good showing against the Preds ,and maybe took the Stars a little lightly ..Also noticed in the 1st period Crow stretching out the leg to make a save ,seemed a little slow getting up .So believe Crow was playing a little hurt last night ,and he knew it . Both teams in the Preds game had a let down the next night ,the Preds lost to Vancouver not a bad team . So let's not get to excited ,big test next game in big D . Forsberg should be ok ,he's a professional with some good experience .

GO HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...Bring back Vinny !!!!

Ya, this team isn't winning poop. Toews is simply unable to create offense consistently and Seabrook is just plain bad. All I ask as a fan is for entertaining games and full effort from the team night in and night out. With that being said, the Hawks are the definition of an average team. Average teams don't win Stanley Cups.

I was thinking about looking at those toews stats..

its worse than that: in 12 games vs WC foes he has been a complete non-factor in scoring with 1G and 3As, 1 multipoint game vs AZ with 2 assists...

that is beyond brutal...and don't he and Q are not aware of this...; he plays with top 6 talent with kane, ADB plus pp time...UNACCEPTABLE...SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS GUY

so he goes...so does the team 2-5-1 vs divisional opponents with 3.14 GA

If Crawford is out for a while, this team could be in serious trouble.
