just cant see this new staff giving up all those picks to move up..
- gordong

2 picks in the first...

Basically making Luck your first round pick

Then you have 3 picks (forgot they gave up a 3rd for Benjamin) to go OL, DL, LB

Mayfield will be a 2nd round pick bc of his height (6’1)
He’s only 1 inch taller than McSorley

- jdfitz77

I'm not making any decision based on height.

Talent wise Mayfield is head and shoulders above McSorley.

I'm telling you, I'm downright envious of the draft picks you guys have. If you guys hit on TWO of those picks you could have two solid day one starters in the scenario you gave.

That amounts to “many reports coming out...”

You can’t even tell me of it was Dreger or someone else?

Come on dude
That’s weak

https://www.fanragsports....ontract-for-evander-kane/

Evander Kane is putting points on the board early in the season for the Sabres, but general managers still appear reticent to hand out a max-term free agent contract to the rugged winger this summer.
That success – nine goals and six assists in his first 15 starts of 2017-18 – does not yet appear to be translating to teams wanting to line up to give him a seven-year deal when it comes time to put pen to paper on a contract this summer though.

NHL Insider Darren Dreger made his weekly appearance on Buffalo’s WGR 550 on Friday, and he dropped that particular tidbit during a discussion on the future of Kane that began with a look at what he’s seeing from the Sabres.

They need to improve their OL and their DT's aren't getting any younger but who knows with FA and the draft.

2 firsts and our better second, would be min. price to get that high

heavy pass due to all our holes

they can get 5 starters with those picks they have in first 3 rounds

- homiedclown

I hear ya...
but filling our holes doesn’t mean squat unless we fill the most inportant one

They need to identify our QB of the future
If that means trade way up for Rosen or Darnold...
or staying around where we are & taking Rudolph...
or waiting till the 2nd for someone like Mayfield or Falk or whoever

Provided you have THE QB, the NFL is a place where you can have a decent draft and add some key FA's and turn it around quick.

He got drunk in Arkansas (what part of this do you think offends ME) and engaged in hostilities with people who publicly disrespected him.

I don't see how that's acting like a jackass. He't not acting like a clueless fop, he's just acting like a 21 year old competitor.

- Der Kaiser

If you think that’s acting professionally OK then ..

I also love the way he has a cocky attitude but some scouts hate that type of attitude

That’s ONE REPORT...
not MANY

And Dreger then goes on to say this...

“Now, we’re also in November, early November. Let’s, again, give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that he’s going to continue to be the player that he is right now, which is a hell of a hockey player – a player that every team in the NHL can use. If we’re still having this conversation based on how good he is and how well he’s playing, then I’ll rescind that comment because I can guarantee you that the mood and the appetite for Evander Kane around the league will have changed. But it’s in early November and teams are still very, very skeptical. Unfairly? Perhaps, but that’s the way they feel.”

If Kane goes to UFA...
he will absolutely get a big$$$, long term deal

There is a huge spread between professional and Jackass. Just because he isn't perfect at 21 doesn't make him a jackass.

After all the self-inflicted QB drama this year, they'll be eviscerated in the media if they don't grab a QB in the first
