Then how come it took Kessel being traded to the Penguins to win a Cup?

How come Ovechkin hasn't won a Cup?

Ovechkin has been on multiple Caps teams that look like they are going to run through everyone in the playoffs and then they just fade out.

Especially in the playoffs you need the will to do the little things shift in shift out.

- Stripes77

you need certain players to go the extra mile for playoff runs

do all the little things, go in the dirty area

this team shows no signs of it in the regular season, and would roll over in 4 games if they ever made the playoffs

sad thing is the closest thing we have to that energy player that produces may very well be traded in the next 3 months

Two WNYer's are reffing hockey in the 2018 Olympics

Fraser McIntyre is lining the men's
Dina Allen is reffing the women's

I have reffed with both people and I am pretty excited for them

2014 Olympics Laura Johnson from Rochester lined the womens

2010 Olympics Pete Feola from Rochester reffed the men's (The only non NHL North American Official)

At least that's one thing WNYer's do well when it comes to hockey

I have worked with all of these people. It's great to see!

Like when your team is outshot several times in the cup, but the other team hits about 7-8 posts and you win one goal games because of it?

Then how come of the last 9 Cups there have only been 4 teams that won them?

You mean to tell me those 4 teams are the lucky teams?

Or do they create their own luck by working harder than the other teams?

Also I am not debating you need skill to win, but skill alone isn't enough.

There is no way he is a Giant next year.

4 possible QB's for the Bills next year:

Eli
Keenum
Bradford
Bridgewater

I'm not convinced Ovechkin takes care of himself as well as the other elite players do. He always seems to run out of gas in the playoffs.

I saw a mock the other day that had Darnold going 1, and Rosen going 3 (maybe it was vice versa), and no other quarterback going until New England at 31 taking Mason Rudolph. If the Rudolph is there and the Bills pass on him, I will be one unhappy individual.

To be fair, many reports have come out stating no team is interested in giving Kane a long term deal. We we see how true that is with teams like Van and EDM.

I still see a Kane for Tanev Deal.

If we can take Dorsett and Eat Kanes Celery we can squeeze out a 2nd rd pick, maybe.

The Sabres would have to add some players with the 20 million or so we're saving by getting rid of the guys I deleted from the roster. It'll take some assets to move Bogo and Moulson, but with the pieces there, and hopefully Nylander or Mittelstadt making an appearance next year, it's really only 1 FA 2RW, a 1RW and a couple D

look at the teams in the top 10

where are you getting that will give it up with 2 picks in the teens

clevelands 2nd pick at 8? the guy you want is probably gone by then. unless you're throwing next years first and this years 2 first and probably a 2nd to SF for 2
