I, for one, have alway hated Henrique...guess the 2012 ECF still lingers in my mind.

I am glad he is no longer a Devil...Though Ducks will probably turn and trade him to the penguins or some poop like that.

He'll probably put up some decent points getting top PP duty, along with Butcher. Devils are averaging 3.17 GF/gp (good for 10th overall in the NHL) and he should jump right into pretty big minutes. There were lots of better defensemen than him on the Ducks. The Devils....not so much.

since this seems to be the year where everyone is all of a sudden obsessed with "usage", Henrique averaged 18:15 TOI a game for the Devils, only forward who played more is Hall at 18:49. But I guess they have Johansson coming back and Zajac is finally healthy.

And Hischier has done a solid job for a rookie so far. They have depth at center, especially if MoJo is playing there instead of wing. They dealt from a position of depth to add to one of weakness. Both sides did, really. It was a good trade for all involved.

Devils defense is , smart move. henrique is expendable with how their rookie forwards are playing

Hating the Stepan trade even more today to be totally honest.

And Hischier has done a solid job for a rookie so far. They have depth at center, especially if MoJo is playing there instead of wing. They dealt from a position of depth to add to one of weakness. Both sides did, really. It was a good trade for all involved.

Peter Holland is just and older Boo Nieves. If we see him it'll likely mean the Rangers have gone through a rash of injuries.

It's a pretty similar trade. So idk why you wouldn't compare it.

Who's to say the Ducks would have made that trade in the summer? They didn't have the injuries. People like to compare trades that have nothing in common.
