Thats awesome. Its probably different ice though. Can't imagine it lasting 37 years
Technically I don't have a son, I just go to the games, pick out the best player and tell everyone he is my son. |

i didnt see his goal b/c i had to run out, but came back to his punches at the end of the 2nd so idk
i love the kid, prob my favorite forward but from what i saw he was just ok. - NYRangers1124
He was making things happen every shift. I'm shocked to hear that Carey had more 5 on 5 time than him. That is definitely something I'd love to hear someone ask AV about.
At the end of the 2nd, he got into it with the D man and gave him a straight right to the face (glove on) and then another one to Bjugstad when he cam at him. I have no idea how Bjugstad didn't end up in the box to start the 3rd. There were only 2 guys involved and then he came in and started mixing it up, too. |

That's going to be a cool experience for both you and the kid.
I am sure that people have chunks of the original ice in their freezers somewhere. - Pete V
Yeah I'm excited for sure a couple of weeks ago they played in Toronto and we got to go to the HOF and get a behind the scenes tour of the Air Canada Centre. I'm telling you I never did any of that at 9 yrs old |

That's pretty cool! HHOF is a good time. I haven't been for a while, but they've made it really interactive and geared toward kids.
I got to play at the Buffalo Aud. in the intermission of a Sabres game when I was 5. By far the closest I've ever come to being a part of that world. Got a shutout, though!!
...I think I face one shot. |

A lot of valid points have been made in this blog. 1 - the Rangers need to own their bad starts for another horrible first period (to a team that just played) allowing three goals no less, is unacceptable. That's the first issue, although can't say this is not a consistent problem, but nonetheless, a big problem. 2 - I agree with Jan, Holden had a bad game, and we all have our good and bad days. But I don't think Holden has played any worse than McD this season. Both have had bad moments (see McD against the Pens) and they have had good moments as well, even though it doesn't mean they are lighting up the lamp. It happens in other ways. I am fine if they scratched Holden, just like they do with the forwards after a bad game, and let them fight hard to get back on the ice to play better. It worked for Smith, even though he also had a tough night. Hey, it happens. Oh, and throw Lundqvist in this mix of bad nights. I thought Pavelec kept them in this game too and gave them a chance. Last goal he never saw. 3 - the fact they came back twice from three-goal deficits says something. They never quit and they always seem to pick their game up once they get behind, so that is a good sign as a team. Unfortunately, usually the loss to break streaks comes from the games you don't expect to lose, but that's what happened here. It was a disappointing way to lose after fighting back. Yes, that goal should have counted, but they challenged it to no avail. You have to move on and continue to play hard. There is nothing you can do at that point. Maybe other Ranger players should get hit in the head, for ever since Vesey got the skate to the mouth, he has been noticeable every game where he wasn't prior to the incident. The best thing now is to put this behind them and win against Carolina and starting another streak. Some tough games ahead with the Caps and Pens next week. Good test for them. Learn from these recent games and it should not be hard to start playing the game at the beginning instead of a later period. |

It is crazy how much they travel now. I was on a travel baseball team and we didn't make it out of the state. |

Can/Am Tourney is Awesome. He will probably also play in '32 rink. Ice has Black streaks going through ice sheet. Really cool. |

The '80 arena was the obvious "cool" rink to play at, but I loved the '32. So cold in there, if I recall. |

Yes it is!! It's ridiculous.
My brother-in-law has two boys (just far apart enough in age to not play together) playing AAA hockey AND travel baseball. They are in an arena or ball field virtually every day of the year. And it costs them pretty well my sister-in-law's whole annual salary toward sports.
Thank God my kid doesn't seem to have any natural athletic ability!! (the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!) |

That's not hockey. That's the effect of global warming on the polar ice caps. |

Doubt the Lake is frozen but if you stay at the Golden Arrow they clear the ice right behind the resort, kids there for tourneys are always skating, fire pits, it's a fun time |

Go on bobsled. You can go w/ one other person and they provide a driveman and brakeman. You start at halfway point. Take a trip up ski jump as well. |
