I get why people don't own pets. It's work, but dogs are great. - tomburton99
I didn't grow up with any animals (my Mom got into cats later when I was almost out of the house, she has 2 now) & my Uncle had a dog that bit me as a kid & I just never was much of a animal person after that. I will admit to crying at a few dog related flicks over the years. |

The Stepan trade was made in key to get his annual $6.5M cap hit through 2020/21, and NTC beginning shortly as well, off their hands in order to sign their #1 NEED going into this season in a 1st pairing, right handed shooting d'man to be McDonagh's partner and lead the offense out of the zone, as well as manning the power play. In turn, that would leave McDonagh the benefit of concentrating predominantly on his defensive game. That top offensive proven NHL d'man was Shatty, and not a 39 NHL games only played, Deangelo. They were trying to acquire Shatty last season, prior to the Caps doing so at the trade deadline. In knowing they could not meet the Blues asking price, they acquired Smith instead on Feb. 28th to replace the often injured last season, Kevin Klein.
Furthermore, why would they want to deal a top center of their's in Stepan on June 24th, 2017, after having just officially lost Lindberg in the Expansion Draft on June 21st??? IT WAS NOT TO TRADE FOR DEANGELO, but in key, for a 1st Round pick, which of their two, used one to select a current 19 year old kid named Lias Andersson, who Gorton and company through their overseas scouts, felt would be able to replace the loss of Stepan while Hank is still here. That, plus Arizona's demand to have Raanta included in the trade for them to pick up Stepan's full contract and cap hit, right now is the reason why this team will struggle just to make it to the postseason, since Gorton failed to otherwise be creative trade wise to increase his cap space through the move of at least one other player's contract for prospect(s) &/or pick(s) only. - RangerSaver

Only problem I have with cats is I'm allergic. Family had 2 growing up. I so prefer the doggies though. Unless its a dog you put in your purse. They should be fed to cats |

Those are prey, not dogs. Hard to believe Chiwowas descended from wolves. The wolves must be so embarrassed. |

It sucked. My eyes would get so puffy they were like slits. Thank god I never was allergic to any plants or anything. I know people who can't breathe when there is too much pollen and different weeds or plants start growing in the spring. |

Question is did symptoms not present themselves until then or dd he play through them? - airjan23
Likely not until then, since for some athletes in contact sports, it is known that concussion symptoms can be delayed for at least 3 to even 7 days for some, depending also on the severity force of the contact sustained, prior to their magnitude becoming felt enough to suspect that a concussion may have occurred. In this case, it had to be a delay of that nature with Zib, because he was not held out from even practicing in between that time, and was on the ice for the pregame warm ups 4 days later, prior to being scratched for that match up against the Panthers. Zib surely would have felt those symptoms once he hit the ice at practice, where he would have known then that something was not right, as opposed to being off his skates.
Is anyone aware of any other prior concussion, or just symptoms history Zib may have experienced during his years playing at any level of hockey? If he had a fully free history, the delay it may be with them here would further be supported. |

Cam Talbot is our at least two weeks. Todd McLellan adds: “It could be longer.”
Oilers are all but done now. - tomburton99
The trade values for the better of the backup goalies is currently rising higher and higher, among teams that either simply need a reliable one, (like here if Pavelec can't be relied on by them to get another start), or those that have had their #1 starters (Edm., Pitt., S.J., in key), go down due to injury suddenly. |

That's another reason for not tanking like you had proposed the Rangers should do starting in late October, since a sudden injury or more to key player(s) of another team if they are in your Division or Conference, can help greatly in opening up the door for a trailing team to return to the playoff hunt, (provided your key players also remain fully healthy). |
