Little talk of Larsson for Ian Cole, don't know how that helps this team. Pens aren't getting much from Sheahan since trading for him. If the Pens are looking for a few more goals from the center position, IMO Larsson isn't the answer.

Seems like a pretty meh, move. We need NHL defensemen in the worst way, so just in that way it's a win. We'd probably have to add a mid-late round pick, but I'd still do it I guess.

Santini is super young & in the NHL
Hurley was so mediocre he had to switch colleges
I’m not saying Santini is an all-star,
but he’s already in the league at least

At this point,
it’s a long shot that we will even sign Hurley

This is essentially the best point ever. When you draft like poop, year after year, for several years, and have ZERO luck with anybody, you will NOT have a good team. The list of our busts is endless, heck we have a couple playing on our NHL team right now. The wings had Zetterbeg and Datsyuk, 2 guys drafted outside of the first 3 rounds, as their cornerstones for years. They surrounded them with other draft picks and some free agents. We have had ZERO luck with ANY draft pick (or college free agents) meeting or exceeding their draft status since #89.

They just built a hockey empire they signed a contract to have the Scouting Combine because of the great atmosphere

Much better scorer as well
I think Hurley hasn’t scored more than 5 goals in any of his college seasons
Fasching is a legit scorer at every level so far

Idk if Hurley will even make it to the AHL

I would not go for free either. I am a huge Sabres fan and love the game of Hockey, as soon as the Sabres decide to actually play something that looks like hockey I will spend my money to watch in person.
