Yeah, but they also had a full season in the AHL playing against the best young players in the NHL as well. Unless we miss a whole year again, we'll never see a group of "rookies" that good.

No reason not to. If you've gone 55-57 minutes without scoring, or scoring 1 goal you're not likely to score 2 or 3 goals in 3-5 minutes 5v5. You have a definite loss, or a slightly less definite loss.

I'm concerned about ROR's back. He skates like it's hurting him a lot. He was never "fast" but he was never this slow. I saw a few times he barely made it back to the bench he looked to be in so much pain.

i still think the zone starts thing is worth looking into. Ristolainen is facing slightly higher quality of competition but his zone start ratio has almost evened out and his Corsi+expected goals for have gone up.

im all for the high pick but i'd do something...anything to just spark this team a little. if nothing else keep the fans semi-interested and score some goals.

Little talk of Larsson for Ian Cole, don't know how that helps this team. Pens aren't getting much from Sheahan since trading for him. If the Pens are looking for a few more goals from the center position, IMO Larsson isn't the answer.
