since the sabres are gonna suck next year as well

who are players we can target as part of returns for current trades that can be moved for a rental next year

I would like to keep the kids far away from buffalo next year as well

- homiedclown

Jason Spezza
Paul Byron
Nate Thompson

That's about it, the others are players their current teams won't give up or players I have no interest in at all

scandella has also been sort of disappointing for me. very poor first pass out of the zone, which is something he was supposed to help fix.

i miss caring about hockey

trade kane this weekend

move girgens to first line lw

then move gus at the deadline with inflated stats

- homiedclown

I don't think they'll be that inflated to be honest, the game against the Wild he fell down 3 times in the course of one shift I was waiting for RJ to say Girgensons hits the ice again

this writer thinks that the soon to be $10m man isn't holding up his end of the bargain...he's playing incomplete games and making poor decisions...he still has that speed, still has the shot, still has the vision, but hasn't matured yet
- Michael Pachla

Agree 100%. However, what do you think of management's seeming unwillingness to manage him? He got his last coach fired. Shouldn't Sabres coaching / Management be doing more than throwing him on the third line for a period and a half? His continued indifferent play has help lead to more losses. Naturally, he returns back to the first line?? Surely trotting him out there 22 mins a night. On the front end and back end of all PP's, padding his stats where possible. Are there any adults in the room?

I have friends who tell me Gus has become fascinated by SURF CULTURE and was so anxious to get started that - notwithstanding the weather - he bundled up this weekend and gave it a try on the choppy shores of Lake Erie.

time to have a realistic game plan, 2017-18 is not the answer, nor is 2018-19

tank 2 more years, if there is a lockout in the fall of 2019, we could be set with 3 more lottery picks

then come out blazing after the lockout, with a much better grip on the cap

it sucks, but may very well be the best solution given this crap

Did you read all the way to the author's last paragraph?

Please read this post before leaving ANY comments that call me an idiot. I’m a fibber in this case, not an idiot. Remember, I’ve been reading Montauk Monster conspiracy theories for a week, so I thought I’d try my own hand at some “grade A bull-plop,” as “Mr. X” (Homer Simpson) once said.

Max couldn't handle his own speed

Varada well stone hands was one of my favorites back in the day just because I loved saying VARADA!!!!!

agreed...as of late, nowhere near the top-pairing d-man botts hoped he'd turn into...at least in absence of ristolainen

it's not like he's playing the entire game like that...he has pockets where he's average at best and even when he's playing like that, the opposition still needs to account for him...

jack still needs to mature...needs to realize that he's a great talent, but to be amongst the greats, you need to be all-in all the time...and that includes practicing at the same level and working harder addressing your weaknesses

He's not ready for the C, and holding it away from other people is what I think is causing the lack of accountability

Samson is on the ice more than all of them, but he is usually getting knocked over. Dude has to start hitting the Ensure.

Slap it on Pomminville

He is gone in a year and a half

I think you're right though, they are holding off naming one because they want him to be the guy but keeping it away from people is not helping either

Correct

Reinhart is on his butt all the time, but it's because he gets knocked down

Girgensons just falls on his own

could very well be...but the player showing the most leadership, at least by the way he plays, is kane...

how's that for irony?
