he likes Ullmark

so money will be saved in net next year

moulson buyout if needed

don't be shocked if a big fish or 2 is moved this summer (not named jack)

- homiedclown

It sounds like Reinhart's time is up here. Are they going to move lehner or just leave him unqualified?

Yeah - they pour heavy there to begin with and Black Steve doesn’t know Big Mike well enough to tell him when to hit the brakes.
- Der Kaiser

Why do you call him black Steve

im saying that in the context of homie's post on botts and contracts. The caps lock doesn't emphasize your point just makes you sound like gerbe.

I am not un certain

hypothetical lineups can be taken more seriously using names like Merkley and cost effective free agents versus Dahlin and JVR.

Fair
We’ll see what happens

I think it’s probably safe to say that the future of MANY of our players could go either way

And the same with bringing someone in
It’s certainly possibly that someone J Botts likes could become available at some point

From what I hear ,jbotts has a long term vision.
He isn't going shopping for free agents with big names or contracts
He is going to build thru the draft
He is really familiar with ahl players and most likely any trade will result in obtaining ahl guys
They are scouting the ahl consistently
Like Homie said: he's patient and wants to move bad contracts.
This year is like a reset button, not much more

Which is why u see me use terms like HOPEFULLY

And I have to use the Caps lock bc apparently u (and others) miss the point otherwise
And apparently even miss the point when i do

Probably comes down to what kind of deal sam wants too. Dunno about Lehner though. Qualifying him will cost 4 mil.

I’m sure that’s more likely
But I’m still gonna be hopeful that other moves are made...

he is still evaluating Lehner from what I am told

likes Ullmark for long term, and the kid he drafted and Johansson

I would not be shocked to see Lehner moved this season

I don’t doubt ANY of that
It all sounds/seems reasonable
All I’m saying is that trades could come along that currently are unavailable
Or guys J Botts isn’t considering could call & say they’re interested in signing here
Etc etc etc

I don’t think he’d sit on his hands if the right UFA or trade came around

Am i missing the point or are you interpreting it that way because i dont agree with your scenario? either way if i am missing it regardless still seems needless lol

you called them potential options. Id like to know what about anything sabres related right now makes high priced free agents potential options. Especially a year after the okposo signing.

Buy high sell low is where this team has been going. May be time to reverse that. Im hopeful no more high priced contracts are given out till some sort of discernible core is present.

might be. I hope they look at some AHL tweeners as well. Guys who are stuck in a deep part of that team's depth chart.
