I heard botts is so pissed off with current contracts, don't be shocked if skunk is traded with bogo or kane is traded with moulson

to shed some of this crap

- homiedclown

Wow
Bogo might be tough bc he’s got 2 more years left after this
But I’m hoping we can move Moulson after this year without having to add anything too major

I don’t think anyone should be untouchable
Even Jack

But the trade needs to make sense too

If we make the trade/pick you’re suggesting...
We absolutely need to get a couple guys with “top pair” potential for Kane & Sam

- jdfitz77

The only player I will ever trade jack for is Matthews Or Jesus

I can come up with 5 reasons to think we still have a chance to be good, but before I write them here, I want to see a streak of a few wins.

To get to 95pts this year,
we’d have to go something like 37-17-5

I can’t see it

Even if we:
-get the defense healthy & Bogosian plays well
-Lehner plays well more consistently
-we get some scoring help from the 3rd line
-Okposo & Sam turn it on
-and the PP gets back to last year’s levels

37-17-5
is still an extremely unlikely task for these guys

you dont need to get to 95 points

you just need to leapfrog the habs, wings, panthers sens and bruins

Even if it’s 91pts...

35-19-5

I’m one of the more optimistic guys on here
But I think we’ve dug too deep a hole for this season

Boston is currently 3rd in our division
They’re playing at a pace that would get them 94pts

logic says you are correct

fix the pp
bogo is decent when he comes back
above average goaltending

a few 3 or 4 game win streaks

who knows

my gut says we are closer to 16th in the east than a top 8 team right now

The key will be doing the things everybody thought was going to happen over the summer, but hasn’t yet. Right now would be a really good time for a long road trip

Maybe a 10 game streak this team is doomed

Even then...
somewhere in the mid 80s is probably our best bet

32-22-5
Would get us to 85pts

And that would have us drafting 6th if everyone plays at their current pace

Right now, with morale being at close to an all-time low, I would not mind 85 pts and draft 6th.
Ending the year at 68 pts, last place and then losing another lottery would be way too soul-crushing for the fans (and the core players). Gotta develop at least a little "winning culture".
