Well off to the ol Xmas staff party.

Wish me luck on not getting totally f&cked up and trying to fight my boss like last year. Already dusted 6 drinks so it ain’t looking good!

GFG!

They're playing like poop but to say they've been poop for awhile now is just wrong in my opinion. I didn't see the same thing from Elliott, he was shaky with seemingly routine shots. I went to a game in Carolina and saw him play and was surprised they came out of the game with two points. The thing I saw most from Elliott was that he didn't make the save he should've made and then when the defense had a gaffe, he didn't make the spectacular saves too often either. Philly has a pretty good defense and he's been a sieve with them, too.

They were awful three years ago, but Hiller and Ramo were both unreal for the first half of the season, which put them in a spot to make the playoffs once they figured out team defence. They forgot it again over the summer, but the three goalie disaster didn't bail them out that time, and they couldn't recover. Do you remember the first 20 games last year? No one knew what to do defensively, but everyone just put it on the the new system, which really wasn't that different, and Elliott. It's not a coincidence that when they actually started playing defence, Elliott all of a sudden became a good goalie again, and they were one of the best teams in the league. Now this year, again they forgot everything that made them successful during the second half last year and don't want to play defence again.

It's happened every year, it's not a new phenomenon. The saving grace this year is Gaudreau is carrying them so hard that when they finally decide to start playing defence this year, they should still be in a position to win the division.

I just don't agree but thanks for that conversation! It's a breath of fresh air to debate stuff without someone being call an idiot or something.

We'll see what happens!

GFG!

Rittich will shine tonight and cement his position as this team's backup, GG's hair will be perfect, and Brodie will shake whatever the hell is going on with him and look like the top 4 defenseman he's looked like in the past.

- Ol_Boy_Wop

You're right ! Gully's hair is perfect. They're actually playing D but Colorado isn't pressuring them the way Dallas did. Glad it was a relatively easy period for Rittich.

I've gotta listen to the game because I'm at work, how's Rittich looking? Didn't sound like he faced a ton of chances.

It was an easy period for sure but he looks comfortable and in position. I'm sure he'll get tested but he hasn't really yet.

Bartkowski should forever be in the press box. Or in Russia or Switzerland.

And there's a perfectly good Dave Tippett sitting at home with nothing to do.

I don't know that he'd be the answer, either.

If only Gerard Gallant had been fired a year earlier...

I like Tippett, it was a real bag of crap in AZ the last few years but he won a lot of games before that.

He's a good coach, for sure and he's probably the best out there right now, I just don't know if he'd be enough to push this team to a championship.

Gio with almost 29 minutes ! Maybe Gully should try playing him that much again, turns out he's pretty good.

Good win against a team they should've beaten. Now hopefully they go back to the Dome rejuvenated and string together 4 or 5 in a row.

As long as he isn't running the front office too, he'd be a good candidate as well.

No. Its like going back to your ex. You typically do it cause you are desperate and end up regreting it.
