He should be fined, since he didn't get a misconduct penalty, which is the right thing to do in this case IMO.

You just can't give a player a free shot at an off-ice official doing his job because he's mad. What happens when someone else out of control hits and hurts a guy?
No matter how angry a player is he has to have some level of control and respect for the people running the game.

He clipped the guy with his ass when getting into the penalty box. It's not like he swung a stick in a rage and accidentally hit him in the head. It was accidental and not dangerous.
How hard would Kadri's ass need to be to actually injure an official with accidental contact?

^^

With respect, you are wrong, the official with no equipment on got hit by the butt end of the player's stick. Accidental or not there is no excuse for doing it, and the player is lucky the guy wasn't seriously hurt.

Why is it so hard to figure out that officials should be respected and not touched or hit like that, accident or not? The player was angry, lost control and the stick hit a defenseless official. Since when is a player not responsible for his stick and what it does?

Only thing Kadri did wrong here was he hit the wrong official! He should have gave the refs who decided to look the other while he was getting cross checked a two hander in the back of the legs. Then gave the other ref who decided not to call a blatant trip on Matthews breakaway attempt another two hander!
