Stecher is clear to return, while Tanev is a game-time decision, said Coach Green. “There’s a good chance Tanev will play tonight.”

Gudbranson is day-to-day. No update on Dorsett.

I don't think I've ever seen a GM move aside laterally?

Keep him for what he does best, he needs help in other areas.

I think TL's contract is also up, haven't heard anything there

Have him move on and get a hockey man.

Benning on tsn this morning

"FA and i have had discussions about extensions. Both of us are confident we will get something done"

This makes me happy, I feel Benning has earned this and needs an extension before the team tailspins out of control.

this is exactly what is wrong with this team. there is never any clear direction.

in this instance; what exactly is the corporate structure? in the sane world, the owner hires the president who hires the gm who hires the coach.

why is benning discussing extensions with the owner? shouldn't this be under the purview of the president (even if the owner has to give teh president parameters/instructions for negotiations)?

if this bodes ill of TL, shouldn't the owner decide that before taking a direction on the gm?

this might seem like a minor matter but this fits a pattern of a free for all when it comes to decision making.

His drafting is largely unproven at the NHL level, Boeser being his one bright spot, but he's had four drafts with the Canucks. More time is needed to see how the others turn out. He doesn't need to be employed by the team to determine that though

In my opinion. With tanev and stecher in, biega out. Our d lines tonight will be as absolutely good as they can possibly be. Should be fun to watch and see how it goes.

i'm not saying that he should be fired. i just don't understand why the owner is handling these negotiations when there is a president in place.

looking at it another way, to your point, who can/will fire him if it's the owner who is determining his contract right now?

Bennjng and linden have never once been tight lipped about anything. Some like it, i personally dont. They kind of let everyone know what is going on and what they are thinking

i agree. they are too open and i don't like it.

if aquaman is involved in these negotiations, it confirms that he's too involved in the day to day stuff.

Clowns! You don't run a 750 million dollar corporation with an open mic policy. I believe Benning was fined 10 thousand dollars because of this, amateur

Of course not...but Like Boeser, if Gaudette shows he can produce at the NHL level then it is what it is. I'm not saying Gaudette is Boeser but no one here though Boeser was going to contributing like this either.

Pettersson has shown signs that he 'might' compete for a spot at camp next year. If he plays well enough and forces the Canucks hand to keep him in the lineup good on him.

OJ got another assist in the second. Now we have to start pencilling him into the line up on the already loaded Left side.

Manfan is right tho. Tanbir at the summit demanded an open book policy with them "when are we winning at a cup, i dont care about rebuilds or playoffs, goal needs to be a stanley cup now". This fan base cant handle a rebuild or a closed door policy. Most fans love linden for his open book stance. Benning literally got fined for talking too much lol. 50k or something for subban and stamkos
