I’m sorry, but I just can’t allow this irrational train of thought!

In all seriousness I haven’t a (frank)ing clue what’s wrong with Brodie. One game he looks like a (frank)ing ALL STAR, the next he looks like Justin Schultz pre Pittsburgh.
Very frustrating player.

Could be playing too much. 25 min last night against pretty tough team.

Could be. Best trade him to the Oil. I promise not to play him one minute over 20.

Maybe with how well Kulak and Stone have been playing GG can shed some more minutes onto their line.

I am not a huge Dougie Hamilton fan but maybe he should take Brodie's spot on the #1 PP until Brodie and Hamonic start to improve a bit. Take a few minutes off Brodie's game clock.

We’ll take Brodie off your hands. Give you Russell, a 2nd and a 1st for him. I know it’s an overpayment, but when I look at your avi I just can’t help myself.

Give more minutes to Kulak/Stone pairing
Brodie around 20-23min would probably make a HUGE difference

Nobody was saying anything bad about Brods when he started the year off with a bang! Now suddenly he's in a slump and we're coming up with trade scenarios?

I for one believe he's gonna find his rhythm again and continue to be that underrated slick-skating two-way D that we've known for years... This team has contender status if they can find a decent backup (which I'm sure the heat can provide) and stop relying on Smith as much as they have so far by covering up defensively. Let's not forget this city has a tendency to be slow through the first half of the season and sizzle in the second.

TLDR: Brodie is good; team is good; GFG

Buffalo are wanting D so I don't really see the fit there. I guess they can flip flop Bennett for Reinhart &hope they both get new leases on life.
I heard this thrown out there that had really tweaked my interest, Brodie & Bennett for OEL& maybe a pic? Interesting.

If you guys pick up OEL, I will burn the (frank)ing Saddledome to the ground.

Not a rumour anywhere just a put it out there by someone that I thought was a pretty interesting proposition on another site. Arizona likes cost controlled which they get in Brodie & Bennett & Tre & Maloney know OEL pretty good & have that Arizona connection. OEL has 1 more year until he's a UFA so it gives you time to get a new deal done & it won't be cheap but holy smokes. Move Magniapane up with Jagr & Janko. We actually have the assets to do something like that.

Isn't Brodie's wife ill? I know we don't accept that as an excuse for bad play on the ice, but I bet it's difficult to shake something that personal and that it's always in the back of your mind.

I believe she has MS. I’m sure having Sigalet around who also has it helps.

Neither squad won that trade. I’ve very little faith in Brossoit ever being an NHL starter.

Tough call. Smid was very serviceable for a few years. Brass needs to be better.

Horak could have won that trade for you guys but he (frank)ed off.

Yup. Thought he’d turn into a decent bottom six NHLer.

So we finally get a solid 6 d and all the turds are out trying to dismantle them. Players can't be expected to play great all the time, they all go through ups and downs, some take longer to get out of their funk. Brodie will be fine! Cut back on the ice time as already been stated here, boost Stone and Kulaks time.

Now with Lack being waived, that means only one ex Canuck left send Bartman to Buffalo, they can have him for free!

I would hope we explore the idea of the kids in Stockton getting a chance, Johnson sh!t the bed in the playoffs last year don't want to go down that road again.

On the Buffalo scouting , I'd be interested in Kane, he's having a good year so far. Haven't heard much about his off ice activities which could be good! Please no to Reinhart, we've had one of Paul's kids already and that didn't work out too well for us.

All the crap going on in Montreal, would be nice to see Brad explore options there. Gallagher would be an interesting addition, not sure what it would take but Bergevins a bit simple when it comes to trades so you never know!

Just my opinion!

It's a lot more than just a slump. He looked a lot like this last year, but everyone just wanted to blame Wideman. What's the excuse this year?

Last year? Wtf are you talking about. He was great with Stone and I noticed no one has signed Wideman so maybe he did drag him down.
He's had some awesome games this year, getting used to Hamonic takes time. We don't know what going on personally, but Brodie has played enough great games to warrant some slack!
