Only one person has been on the trade nylander boat from what I recall.
Others have simply said whatever improves the team.

Looks like Nate MacKinnon hated Duchene.

Easier to replace a winger than get a top Dman.

The thought of trading Marner terrifies me, because I don't think we know just how good this kid might become.

I'm not so terrified of trading Willie. I don't know - he just seems to be lacking a little something. I think he will become a good player, and I don't think we should give him away for nothing...

...but if we got back a good defender in return, I'd kiss my Nylander poster one last time be OK with it.

Nylander is the only player on the leafs and in the system with top 6 center potential. Trade him and We'll have to go looking for a future 2nd line center. Kadri fits the bill but the leafs are alot deeper with two offensively gifted centers and a shut down guy like Kadri who can put up points on the 3rd line.

Nylander is better than Marner.

Hard to tell at this point. Marner was able to drive an entire line, he was the reason JVR and Bozak played better, have not seen Nylander elevate linemates yet. He is skilled and super slick, and does not appear to have neither the work ethic nor the desire of Marner.

Still a top 4 d man imo. Slower obviously. But still pretty good.

I'll confess I haven't watched a lot of Bruins games lately, but I was at the Leafs-Bs game on November 10th - and it seemed like every chance they got, the Leafs would chip the puck behind him and go after it.

The problem is that the Bruins can't let him go at a reasonable price - they are going to have to ask for the moon.

Would I pay 5th defenceman about to become UFA prices for Chara? Hell yes.

But I'm guessing the Bruins will be asking top 2 prices - and I'm just not willing to pay that.

I think a lot of people undervalue Chara. He is still a top 4 defensmen. And there is zero doubt about that.

He's worth a decent price at the deadline
