Hopefully Kadri's idiocy has ensured that going forward.

That dumb ass selfish penalty is inexcusable.

- As_I_See_It

That was stupid. He has his moments like that (when he can't control his emotions) and it cost them.

But I can't figure out why one of the best players on the planet wouldn't be on the ice to try and win the game on the PP with a little over a minute left.

I agree but at the same time end of the game in a shootout Babcock has to go with the top talent. You do not sit Kadri, JVR, and Nylander and run Blowzak out there. WTH was he thinking?

End of the day Kadri scored and played hard, and is an emotional guy, he just has to know and remember to pick his spots better. Take the guy's number and nail him or fight him next game. At the very least make sure you take the guy with you for offsetting penalties there.

Bozak is better at shootouts then those 3. Kadri has not been very good at the shootout.

Anyone else think the Florida goal was banked of Freddy's stick, and not Carrick's foot?

Btw. Great blogs yesterday eh! Great work mike. You too Lucas.

if you took a couple of 2x4s to the ribs, one of which leave you not being able to move on the ice, I'm very much doubting that taking penalty is one of the first 10 or 20 thoughts running through your head.

armchair hockey player coulda woulda shoulda

That was entirely on the officials. Missing something once happens. Missing it a 2nd time, right in front of him, is shady.

...and if only those 2 were the only blown calls

seems there were officiating issues all game

Andersen played really well. Should still put McBackup in for the shootout though - it's not Freddy's thing.

Marner-Matthews line didn't work out as well as expected bc Babcock didn't play Martin with them

Was a good hockey game - both goalies were best players on their team.
Some bad non-calls by the refs though.

fack McAvoy - easy to play well when on the ice with Chara.

23 shots in his first 14 games
23 shots in his next 6 games

I think he left his ability to aim a shot in Colorado

Not sure why they loaded up Stone-Brassard-Hoffman. Ryan is too slow for Duchene.

A friend of mine got into a bad accident

Alive though and will be fine, so that is good.

Hit by a drunk driver. Last night is the biggest drinking night of the year in the states. That’s why McAvoy was so much better than Rielly and I had to yell it from the mountain tops. Oh and I am no douche

Thanks for putting up with me. Just got home and time to sleep for a few hours.

Because Brassard - Stone - Hoffman play really well together.
I was surprised to see that Brassard is that much better in Ott than he was in NY.
or maybe i hadn't seen enough of him on the Rangers.

2X4's?
Have you seen the flimsy flexible stick they use?
He's a pro....this isnt his first year....control the emotions and use your head.

I think he was on the ice for both of the NJ goals as well.
of course not important, as long as you can penalty shot

we need more Kadri's on this team.
i don't blame him one bit for his 'lack of control of emotions'.
the occasional bad penalty is heavily outweighed by the penalties he draws and energy he give to the whole team.

I'm going to attend two NYI games in January when I'm in NYC - will check out whether JT could be of some value for Leafs to add

btw I like Leddy for the Leafs as well

You Cleary have not watched McAvoy enough. He is Doughty.
