Let's go back to grabbing Edmontons first overall, really looks like a top 2 pick, Tanev is only here for 50 games a year anyway, plus the Canucks finish in 29-28 place. Two really good picks right there. - Makita
i'd want more than Edm's 1st.
It is possible that they do have the people to turn it around (especially when adding a top 2 Dman and when Skerja returns).
That 1st could easily be mid to late in the first.
I'd rather grab Marner from the Leafs. |

The statement was looks like a top two pick. How does that hold water? |
|

They want me to register and then pay, no thanks, looks like there are some good analysts there but not paying - Makita

You're right. With Edmonton's record, it's more likely a number one. |

There past record is reason why they changed the lotto system so yeah any team that doesn't make the playoffs can win. |

Yeah there is always the chance that the oilers could make a surge through the standings, but we have been saying that for eons, last year was an fluke after seeing this years progress.
I like Marner also but I'd rather trade Gudbranson for Marner, Tanev although I wouldn't rate as a number two Dman league wide, would trade in a heartbeat for the second overall pick, but I also like RNH. |

Thanks Carol. I understand the tradition on this and that adding the extra point for OT losses made it harder to gain ground.
Though wouldn't the quarter pole just be a measure of who has fallen out of the playoff race? Not by their playoff position ranking but gap in points. Like the Yotes this season and Avs last season.
Don't most teams despite positioning stay in the hunt and by the TDL the race gets down to fish or cut bait?

So this trade is happening in the off season after the lottery draft?

Holy smokes, you're dense!
Quit arguing please.
It's simple, the oilers 1st rounder is going to bee 1ov, that is what happens, period, no exceptions.
Now please stop arguing. |
