imo Boeser is making Baertschi and Horvat better players this year, it shows in their numbers and game. - LeftCoaster
Like I mentioned, Horvat has been steadily projecting the same trend since the beginning of his career. It's interesting that Horvat doesn't get credit for that since it's been the same trend under two coaches now with or without Boeser.

BB is getting love from out east, he was the quarter pole winner on SN last night, and the Canucks were given credit for how well (surprisingly) they have been playing. - 1970vintage
The poll was fans picking him. All media I've given the time to listen to outside of BC still were picking Keller.

You think it's only one guy? There are a few... Nilsson seems like he is playing a large part as well. Markstrom is playing well. Horvat is steadily improving and that projection was tracking well without Boeser. Dorsett was playing playoff hockey for many of his games. Vanek is steady and giving the team depth. Pouliot is filling in surprisingly well. The depth improvement in all positions and the new coach are all getting dismissed? The shut down tactics have won games... there is more to whats happening if you take off the sh!t coloured glasses.

I think Horvat had Kesler syndrome early on, no one rom pass to so he had to do it all himself. Now he has 1.5 guys that will put the puck in the net so he can be playmaker or finisher on any given shift |

During the intermission Doug McLean chose Boeser and Elliot Friedman picked Clayton Keller. By the end of the season I think we can get EF on board |

McLean... it's a start I guess. He's a coach first and media mouth after. I'm not surprised. EF couldnt call a race... look what he did in Olympic swimming

That’s BS, while the team IS improved, they were so bad last season it was almost impossible not to. Being better does not mean they are good. It is still a one line team, it’s just a different line doing the heavy lifting now. |

Although he had a 52 point season last year, he was still inconsistent at times, this year thru 1/4 of the season his game has been more steady. I think that's because of Boeser. |

This is part of what I was getting at with Lefty... as young players develop(not celebrating Benning so much). He clarified what he meant though. It's not lost on him... seems to be on Pres though.

I didn’t watch any Olympics so sorry, missed the reference, but I agree EF hasn’t watched enough Canuck games. His reason for Keller was because how bad the Coyotes have been and he’s still putting up those numbers, but if you look at Boeser in Van you could start to make the argument that it’s not just the Calder he should win but the Hart as well... - 1970vintage
He called the wrong lane all the way to the finish in the medal round(iirc)... and even needed time to realise after.
Edit: The Hart? Shhhhhtop |

it was never closed but you take that one sentence I wrote and run with it. It's quite apparent Horvat shouldn't be plateauing at 22 but I'm still of the opinion Boeser is most definitely helping both Baertschi and Horvats offense thus far.
The game he was out with an injury they weren't nearly as good imo, small sample but it's still my opinion.
Back to where I started, it's amazing how one player can make such a difference to the team's offense. |

What exactly do you define as "it"? Because I think Lefty is talking about a 1/4 of the season small successes as am I. - boonerbuck
It
used to refer to a thing previously mentioned or easily identified.
"a room with two beds in it"
"The hockey teams development as a whole"
"Most annoying poster on hockey buzz"
Those are all examples of "it", however I was referring to the team's success thus far this year. |
