To my American friends, everyone chill out about the Sabres and Bills. Instead, enjoy some turkey and beer today. Life will go on even if the Sabres and Bills don't make the playoffs for another 20-years. As I told my wife when we watched the Bills (live) get thumped in L.A. last week, the taste of victory is going to be so much sweeter when we eventually win something.

From a long-suffering fan of both

The 200 level is the wife's room

Sam is literally playing for the difference of millions of $ per year over the next 8 years. This is his contract year. If he's not getting it done now, what makes anyone think he's going to better after being paid.

Again, he needs to hit the gym. Which he clearly doesnt spend enough time doing. We can't lift weights for him, nor eichel.

Buff39 - great reference to biscuit and partying. He was out every night. I remember seeing him at the stuffed mushroom all hours. 4 am

Yes- I was there also : but wasn't a professional football player

- Boss34

This is Sam's bridge-deal contract year. He'll be signing for 2yr 6m in the off season, that's it. He hasn't earned any more than that and I'm sure his agent will eventually get that through his head.

Homie, maybe everyone else will understand that..we have alot of bad players
- Buffalo39

Buffalo39 - it's funny: anytime you post an interesting tidbit of information, eveyone wants to call you out. Every time you mention an inside track or a friend in a "high place" instead of appeciating your connection , some on the board take it as: your rubbing it their face. I shouldn't be, your just passing along information on a chat board.

The price information is "priceless" . Maybe it hasn't been completely uncovered yet, but there is definitely something suspicious about his injury and the GM recently questioning it.

Your take on the current state of the sabres has been dead on. They are terrible. Okposo's contract is an anchor. Ror needs to be moved as well. I like both these guys.
We're out this year, next year and probably not showing improvement in 2019.
Kane has been great- but a time bomb
Eichel and reinhart ( from my sources ) are party guys. Drinkers and trouble makers - definitely not leaders off the ice - and they are young
Jbotts wants his turn (s) at the top of the draft.
His goal is to make rochester good/playoff competitive

Everyone needs to step back and realize , tmgm screwed things up big time.
God forbid you say anything bad about someones favorite player on the sabres. Denial kicks in immediately.
We suck, it's bad attitude, effort, too many party guys and under achievers.
Not just a few guys ,but pretty much every guy.

This is a stealthtank boys - its pretty clear

It's turned into a bridge deal year. Who wouldn't want a long term deal though? Long term security?

Let's say that's true, and I have no reason to think it's not, I've been hearing about it from the start. The Bills were one of the best teams ever and they were also the biggest partiers ever. It's only a problem because they're losing. Winning fixes everything.

Everything I've heard about Crosby is that he's a huge wiener and gives Mario a run for his money in the bumhole department off the ice. But he's a winner, so it all gets ignored.

He is, Luigi is even worse.

Lemieux was in a room while Dan Quinn raped a girl. Then they poured beer all over her clothes and threw her, half-naked, out of the hotel room.

Everyone do me a favor, watch eichel after a shift, even the ones he floats. He is gasssssssed at the bench. Cornelius bennett was the same way, maybe to much partying, whatever.

I got absolutely roasted for saying Eichel's biggest weakness is his endurance.

The entire culture sucks. Eichel and a few players ran bylsma out of buffalo. He was and idiot, but the players did it. You would think they would be trying hard out there with new coach, not happening. Ray Ferraro tweeted the other night, the sabres have NO COMPETE. Guys standing around. This is a very messed up organization
- Buffalo39

Again, all of this I've gotten repeatedly lambasted for saying.

Thank god homie came around, because being in the bleachers with just Gerbe and buffalo39 was getting lonely.

It's called hope . But some fail to realize Hope costs too much for the time she spends in your hotel room. And wasn't worth it .

Jack needs to step it up a bit . I understand he can't do it alone . Goals per game scored against us this season ? Bet its over 3 and we cant score over 2

Jack is actually talented, that's unfortunately how professional sports work. He's still a center piece and franchise guy.
It's definitely easier to over look "the warts" when your gifted .

Good point bandit:
The bills were huge party guys. Again, their talent covered up the party life style. It really cost us in the superbowls.
It's the ol' boys network at its finest. Young guys having some fun ect. It does effect their jobs.

I'm not trying to act like I didn't get ripped up every night , I did. Especially when I was their age.
I let down quite a few employers. Difference was I was just a college kid, not letting down 1000's of fans and the community because of my party lifestyle. They could find another idiot to make $3.35 an hour to work at:
Topps, Freddies drug store, circuit city, office max, dahlkempers, hooters and highland superstores
I was replaceable- jack isnt, at this point anyways. The pegulas have put alot into securing him and now paying him.

Definitely, or his parents. I guess it's part of being young and todays culture.

Someone posted that Jack's dad was out buying him beers before the age of 21. Again, most of us drank at a young age, but that's not helping. Again, this is hearsay, but.........

"I'm coming for you, Buffalo" looked like he slammed a brewski during this famous statement.

I think Pegs needs to (frank) right off back to PA and keep his grubby hands out of anything involving the teams that isn't signing a check.

We have a hoovering, meddling owner who micro-manages everyone under his iron curtain.

I said a few weeks ago the entire Harbor Center is a toxic environment. Buffalo39 basically confirmed that in this thread.

It all starts from the top, down. Pegula has influence simply because of being a billionaire, imagine the glass and eggshell floors everyone is walking on over there?

It's like this: The GM is a Richard to the assistant GM, who is then a Richard to the Supervisor, who is a Richard to the team lead, who is then a Richard to his workers, who are then miserable (frank)s to each other and anyone within their line of sight.

People see this, they're miserable as a result. Everyone blaming the GM, and the coach, and the players, and the injuries and the contracts and all signs lead right back to good ol' Uncle Terry Pegs and his right hand man, Russell Brandon.
