Theres nothing to be sorry about I just completely disagree. Like i said I'm happy he scored but he (frank)ing sucks. I don't mean this in a jackarse way but do you actually watch him play when he's on the ice? The guy has zero hockey sense and sabotages countless plays a game. He's terrible defensively and is slow as shat. No I don't like him. Hahaha
- Cptmjl

I don't think he has no hockey sense. I think he can't keep up with the play. He's the new Moulson. He needs to park is ass in front of the net and wait for someone to give him the puck to be effective.

I get some of the Ladd hate but he was a captain on this league and traded as a key piece so the people in the know seem to like his game. He has been much better than last year

Hey I'm happy he puts up some points and maybe he does something in the locker room I'm unaware of but the guy is more an anchor than anything else. With all of this said I don't give a (frank) they won a game they shouldn't have tonight and I couldn't be happier they did.

Manning put him in a head lock and he got upset and then he got a little physical which was the most physical he has been since he's been on this team. Normally he's like a taller version of frans Nielsen when it comes to physical play. Are we actually making believe Ladd is a physical player? Hahahaha
- Cptmjl

By traditional standards, no. On this year's Islander team, he's one of the more physical players. Against Philly, it was nice to see him and a few others respond this afternoon to the physical play of the Flyers.

We really don't have a physical team do we? Even our physical players don't really play physical

His game has declined a lot since his days of being a captain of the lowly Jets.

Traded as a key piece? FA over payment signing by an idiot and desperate GM.

Nothing more nothing less.

Sloppy through 2 periods and, especially in the second, just flat out bad defensively. But they got it together in the third!

I'm not so down on Ladd. That goal wasn't just a tap in...he had a good battle going on in front and got his stick down in time to get the pass. I think if he gets better as the season goes on like he usually does, we'll be reasonably happy with him.

On that goal...Barzal's play with no room at the blue line was...well...something we're getting used to, but still damn impressive.

Ho-Sang was really good tonight as well. Glad he got the OT assist because he deserved to walk away from that game with something.

deHaan-Pelech tonight was

Mayfield was good. When he takes chances, he has to be right because he doesn't have the speed to recover, and he was right pretty much all night when he pinched and when he stepped up at the blue line.

Of course, we're physical. We have a forward who wears chains.

Totally agree. Pelech looked particularly shaky to me.

Forgot to mention Clutterbuck, too. Even earlier on when most of the team looked asleep, he was skating hard, hitting, and shooting.

I will agree with this. Problem is this is one of the few times we've seen him do this. I was expecting a more physical player with a net presence. That's the game he use to have its been lacking with us. He had a better than normal game after my first insult directed at him. I think I may just need to insult him more often.

Ladd had a good night overall. I agree his physical presence was a help against the Flyers. And then there was the game-tying goal....

Ladd has scored some important goals this year. He is making plays and is not invisible.

You're right that we need to see that more consistently. I just think late in the season when the chips are down, we will see him battling in front of the net and along the boards more. We'll see though.

I'm usually tougher on players, but for some reason I see more good in Ladd. Probably because he actually signed with the Isles as an FA.

Not being so tough on Ladd gets some complainer points taken off my record. I cannot be negative all the time.
