Highmore is not quite ready yet. They want him to get more exposure in the AHL before calling him up.
- dahawks8819

He had a Hattie. Gives him 8 goals. You could say Chicago is not too far.

Would Bowman trade Kempny and Hinostroza for ?

Doesn't sound like a trade is coming anytime soon. Maybe by the deadline.

And for those pining for Hinostroza, it sounds like a trade may do him some good - although they probably won't get much in return for him.

For now, he is considered what they call a baseball player "4A". While he is a fast skater, his speed did not play well last year with tight spaces. It was too easy to bump him off the puck, and too many times, he out skated his linemates - and got caught with no support. I am not sure if he has corrected this in the AHL, but it was a concern last year, and why he was sent back down.

Great overall game crew.

They battled hard and kept in it (thanks Corey), when TB pressed in 2nd half of game.

A lot of positives to take away.

Yea man, can deal with a loss when they come to play. That was a damn fine team they played even on the road. When Callahan, Kunitz and Paquette are your 4th line you are deep.

PP was whizzing the thing around making TB defend instead of standing still dusting pucks off. PP showed the urgency an aggressive PK does.

The way Dcat and Forsling are playing fast with a role excited to see them at Game 70. Forsling got 24:27 against the top scoring club, only Keith had more minutes. (his partner Rutta 22:00). ....... Dcat looks more comfortable with each passing game. 6th in forward minutes.

2nd line over the boards in OT? Forsling, Schmaltz, Dcat!!

Q sees what fans do. My guy Hartman the least amount of minutes followed by Sharpy. Sharp's problems are not in his legs, he can still motor.

Count me as a Bouma guy. Yea when he gets fancy east-west he's out of his element but he knows his role and torpedoes Dmen into the end wall. Creates turnovers and doubt for Dmen as they eye up where Hayden is. ........ Wingels, part of that 4th line, 7th in forward minutes.

Team played as fast as the rocket fueled Bolts and did not get pushed around. PK killed 5 against the #1 PP, (gave up a shorty though) until the unfortunate OT penalty called on Schmaltz, the PP scored and showed urgency, rapid movement with the puck and their legs and were dangerous.

A lot to like a lot to fix but 95% of the clubs can say that. .......

Very good point. Heard Babcock once say if you just fly around without a purpose you take yourself out of plays.

But Vinnie shows a foundation to develop. ++ speed, 150 + games in a top jr program and league, a point per game at Notre Dame in two seasons and is a 6th rounder..... Indeed as a pure rookie he didn't show the savvy and nuance needed at the big league level but there is a foundation to work with and is a legit prospect.

Shake up. Ship out.
Except some of shake up
Is not perhaps effort & skill awry
More incapable due to health?!
Now as Florida recovers from the hurricane
The Blackhawks won't recover yet from the the tampa

Take the attack, you veterans
We'll back you
While we eat more turkey
And watch part II at FL Panthers.
As some players perform like fat Turkey's

Looks like our guys are not satisfied and are putting in some extra work. Gotta like that Kane and Toews are again leading by example.

Happy Thanksgiving Mr. R and to most of the posters on here south of the 49th Parallel.

Michael Grabner was one guy who did that and got bounced around the league until he figured it out 2 years ago with the NYR.

Hawks played a really good game last night and still lost ground in the Central Division. But starting to play like they realize there isn't a lot of room for losing streaks.

Thank you, good link.

On another note, Vinnie Hinostroza has been lighting up the AHL. Literally. This goal is one of many, but it shows why he needs to be on the NHL roster and not in the AHL.

The main complication here is roster math in who will be sent down and who is waiver exempt. The Blackhawks seem to be nervous about losing Tanner Kero or Jordan Oesterle to waivers. They also don’t want to send down red-hot Alex DeBrincat, and John Hayden has proven to be too valuable to send down as well.

The second complication is which forward sits if/when Vinnie comes up. Lance Bouma is doing all the right things lately, and Tommy Wingles is a solid fourth-line center. Does Q have the guts to bench Sharp? Time will tell.

Thank you, Rick. I know the great country of Canada has had their Thanksgiving already but just the same Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Having a guy like Vinnie developing in the AHL in the salary cap era is a good thing. You make a very good point about Grabner, although his speed is outright freakish and is a 1st rd pick, and learning to use his speed. ........ As shown in the link provided Vinnie is caught in a numbers game.

They look better, individually and collectively. Except Sharp, he isn't showing much lately. They need another center for that 3rd line and try someone else on 3LW.
- matt_ahrens

Everyone looking better overall....I agree Sharp has not brought much at all, time for him to sit...as well is it just me but or has Saad looked flat, have not seen much jump from him either.

Up 2-0 on PP with game in control until the softest player in NHL 88 makes another horrid play & boom 2-1 and whole game changed

Gave up 2-3 terrible passes for odd man breaks for TB lucky 50 bailed him out

But you 88 cheerleaders are happy because he scored 2

chery picking again on 1st & lucky bounce on 2nd

Overpaid POS chokes in OT on breakaway go figure

And Seabrook is the worst a GD joke he was on the ice in OT

•5 looks a lot better and handed out a few hits- nice to see
•Keith looked like Keith
•Bouma handed out a few solid hits that were effective
•Toews is trying but he’s a second line Center these days
•Crawford is in the Vezina conversation and making people forget Darling who?
•Kane is Kane
•Love the 4th line
•Need Vinnie Up and not sure on Hartman

Power Play and Penalty Kil much improved

I felt like the group carried momentum from Pittsburgh....good play again from top 2 lines, Forsling and Crow solid. Murphy is in a stretch where he looks capable.

But that gawtdamn third line with Hartman centering is too much. It just doesn't have any flow or chemistry to it. Always chasing because Hartman is not a center. Line 4 I thought was really good last night, Wingles and Hayden were forces.

Shot difference largely the cause of TB having 2 more powerplays, including the much discussed one. Overall, against what is probably the NHL's best team in their building with a team still growing, nice overall game.

MUST. get fast against Florida or this nice little streak they are working on is all for naught

Edmonton and Habs are hurting and would be good trade partners as they maybe desperate hence could be a trade in our favour....time to take advantage?

So they were able to hang with the Bolts, very encouraging sign. Problem for me is why do they play the eastern conference better? Is this a trend or coincidence? Or is it many parts finally working together in Q's system? I guess we'll find out, funny how one play turned the entire game around and it cost the Hawks one point. Maybe in the past they could careless with the puck but not today's team.

All this pining for other players is futile, especially if they don't play Q's way. Rather they be getting work in the AHL then in the press box.

All great points, especially about the PP buzzing, new trios in OT like 8-12-42, and Bouma.

Btw, thanks for the complement earlier. I try to be a straight shooter to share my perspectives while learning from you all as well.
