This game would have been done if the Hawks could bury the chances on wide open nets. Schmaltz, Panik, Saad all with wide open nets they've missed. (some of them more than once)

Tampa carried the play but the Hawks had the best chances to find the back of the net and failed.

Cmon Edzo, to insinuate that the call on 8 was warranted is a joke. Both Burrish and Konroyd said it was a joke and so did Phil Esposito. That call was terrible.

Even though the Hawks lost in O/T ... I believe it was their best all around game of the year. Passing was very crisp, good defensive coverage around the net. The only two main wrinkles that still need to be worked out by the Hawks is getting out of the D Zone quicker and make personal changeson the third line. Hartman /Sharp are a bad mix with DCat. Bring up Hinastrosa and sit either Hartman or Sharp.

its a style the hawks like to play...but they can't and the bolts are better at it...craw kept em in it...but the missed chances and open looks...damn..

This is certainly one you'd have liked to have had...just don't know if the Hawks have the depth at this point...meantime the Schmaltz shot looked like Connor Barth for the Bears last weekend...and if Kane goes 5 hole in the OT its a different outcome.

That penalty was a brutal after (as Justin mentioned) they'd left everything go up until that point...

weird that we're not at Anaheim Friday afternoon - but the days of the Circus trip are over...

wont see much push back from anybody here...

after that horrid blown game vs the canes...they have gotten 5 of 6 vs some pretty good eastern teams that were playing well....

maybe just maybe this team can get on a roll for a couple of weeks...

Highmore is not quite ready yet. They want him to get more exposure in the AHL before calling him up.
