As good as Ghost has been last three games he's cost us first with penalty's against Calgary, last night Let Sedin in behind him and tonight watching Tavares instead of staying with Bailey. He needs to figure it out.

I do hope they find a way to keep Morin around.

Martel did not look out of place. I don't know what they are going to do with him. I hope he stays up for a bit. He's an intriguing player to me.

Liked the speed that Martel appears to have but then he disappeared or didnt get played.

Has anyone seen TK or Simmonds over the past 10 games or so?

Morin needs to stay up..I like what he brings.

Martel and Morin both looked good tonight tough loss but it is what it is at this point. Morin had a couple rookie mistakes out there but you gotta keep playing him if you want him to learn. Just his size back there and the reach of his stick is something the Flyers could use on a nightly basis I hope they can keep him in the line up somehow. Hopefully he plays well enough to warrant Gudas getting traded after his suspension is over. Martel is a very creative player out there I feel as though once he gets some more comftorable he will really shine.

I thought Konecny played well tonight and created some nice chances not sure about Simmonds though looks like a shell of his former self out there right now. Gotta hope he is injured or else not sure what is really wrong.

Not so sure his body already isn't starting to wear down. He does have a big frame but just is lanky and the way he plays physically could be starting to get to him. If this continues all season, not sure about resigning him or even think about possibly trading him. At this rate im scared to shell out a long term deal.

I wouldn't be so scared to trade Simmonds he is a good guy in the room and a great player when he's at his best. But until I see him snap out of this it may be that his best days are behind him. Especially if there is not injury at play here. Simmonds isn't really a player who I would say drives the play out there or creates a ton of chances. Those are the guys you want to keep, he is good at what he does which is bringing physicality and providing a net front presence but I have not seen any of that in this last 15 game stretch or so. If the right deal came along I'd trade him.

OK you're right Tavares did not make an awesome play on Cooter.

Also I wasn't putting that all on cooter but he did get taken to school.

He made an awesome play to keep possession. Couturier played him well to take away any chance of him being a threat. There is absolutely no reason Bailey should be all alone in front of the net on a 3 on 3 matchup. It is man on man. Fact of the matter is Ghost looks one dimensional. He is an offensive threat but he seems to a 6th man for the other team in our own end. His defensive play has been brutal.

I'd have to agree , you've got to wonder when management figures out what they have with the rest of the defence prospects if he is the first to go. You sure as hell would be able to get a lot in return for him.

What would everyones thoughts be on trading Simmonds at the deadline or draft and signing JVR in the off season as a replacement of sorts?

Yeah you're right , I just wonder what the return for him would be right now. In hindsight maybe it would have been a better move to try and trade Simmonds to STL this past off season instead of Schenn.

Really Depends. We arent much closer to being a contender. Who knows if we will be during their time here.
