Not really. 3 on 3 is man on man. What do you want to do put two players on Tavares?

He schooled Coot's.
Why was Coot's out there instead of G?
Let me guess so Cooter can shut down Johny T.

Voracek and Ghost did a terrible job of reading that play. |

no need, the other two on the ice need to cover their man. for as great a play as he made, he was no threat to score from there |

How about Ghost covers his man not let him get a prime shot and better rebound.

Or you could knock his ass off the (frank)ing puck so he can't make the pass. |

Why?
Because he made a cross ice pass in 3 on 3 play that, frankly, should have never been completed because, maybe, it would have been nice if one of the other guys on the ice did something?
Ok. I didn't see that play the way you did. |

He wasn't taken to school. Mr over reaction. Tavares made a good play. D coverage was blown. Might as well blame Elliot as well for giving up rebound.

I am not excusing anyone else on that play. But to act like Cooter didn't get taken to school is just orange colored glasses |

If Tavares drives to the net from there, I'd agree with you.
Hell, I'd help you make the point.
Tavares was pinned to the boards and kept to the outside. He was not a threat to score with how Couturier played him.
If you want to just flat blame Couturier, go right ahead, but I don't think you're reading that play correctly at all. |

The way they finished last season and this entire month has me thinking someone is on the hot seat.
And if Hakstol isn’t? He should be.
Good chance Lappy is gone this week after two more tonight. |

OK you're right Tavares did not make an awesome play on Cooter.
Also I wasn't putting that all on cooter but he did get taken to school. |

Absolutely. No one is blameless there. Couturier got taken to school, Ghost lost his man, and Elliott left a juicy rebound. So everyone sucked. |

I didn't say that, Brofessor. Of course he did. But still and all, he was still against the boards, on the perimeter.
I'm only saying I think you're being a bit hard on Couturier there.
Where was the coverage on the other two guys is a valid question. |

How long did Couturier have Tavares on the boards? Tavares made a very good play getting free to make a pass after what 5-6 seconds? If Ghost does his job the play is going the other way or at worst deflecting the shot. |
