small, determined...he is a really cool dude that I will be rooting for. skates well and has skill. we will have to see if he is able to create space at this level. his hot start was driven by shooting percentage quite a bit, but he is certainly offensively talented - YuenglingJagr
We need to call up Greg Carey. |

Let's hope he gives them a spark. Can't be worse than the slug he's going to replace. - PLindbergh31
Weal, Konecny, Ghost, and now Martel.
This has to be the smallest Flyers line up that I can remember seeing. |

I was actually just looking at his bio this morning. Doesn't look like they've ever fought. Tanner Glass did whoop Mayfield's butt last year though. - jmatchett383
Yeah I tried looking it up too. Sounds like he's there to stop somebody more important from fighting. I don't think Morin will be permitted to fight though in all honesty. |

Is he a speedy forward? Is this season the first time he has been putting up the goal numbers? - Buzzo
his junior numbers - 196 GP 99-104-203. Imagine his size had a lot to do with not being drafted.
Pro numbers
5 GP 1-2-3 plus 1
67 GP 22-15-37 minus 11
68 GP 20-20-40 plus 15
17 GP 14-5-19 plus 10

They don't have a lot of size. But at least they are slow and unskilled. |

Well, he is a Mormon (he hates when I say that about him), but even still, I think it's his appearance and general attitude more than anything. - jmatchett383

That's why we recalled Morin. They balance out to 6'1 205. |

So you are claiming the Flyers goalies have an inflated SV% compared to goalies like Bishop and Darling? If anything you could say the Flyers goalies' SV% are suffering due to a PK that's been poor since the start of 14-15.
And blocking a prospect with an awfully long contract like Bishop's is actually an issue when you have Lyon, Stolarz, Sandstrom and Hart in the pipeline. - Feanor
first of all...I never said Bishop. That contract is and will continue to be awful through its entirety. I am claiming that pointing at different goalies and saying look at this save percentage and that save percentage and comparing the two is about as stupid as Bishop's contract.
We don't know what Darling's sv% would be if the Flyers traded for him because he plays for Carolina and not the Flyers. You know Carey Price has a sub 88% save percentage right now? Is he bad? |

http://www.thehockeynews.com/news/article/blues-underrated-schenn-acquisition-looking-like-the-greatest-move-of-the-nhl-off-season - rinaldo
Schenn has always been a good player.
Maybe not the most hockey sense, but lots of talent.
He has some pretty great line mates in St Louis.

I don't mind it ,all those guys are pretty fast. It's a new NHL you don't need to have a big team to be successful |

But he scored a lot of goals early on this year. We needed to add whatever it is that he does to the lineup a month ago. |

Lets just hope they give him more then a game then. Because first NHL game he could be in awe of being there and little less focused as most young kids are in first nhl game. |

I'm expecting him to have a debut as good as or better than the great David Laliberte. |

At least Hextall did something to try and give these guys a spark. I mean they are only 4 point out of a playoff spot right now and that spot belongs to the Islanders which they play the next two games. 2 wins here and they can easily make up some ground. This team can still make the playoffs they just need to have a good showing against their division, a majority of those 4 point division games still need to be played. Hope this lights a fire under this team. |
