the call is too hard for the ref's to make.

i think ferraro said it once, just blow the whistle when someone runs into the goalie. wouldn't help in this case, as they missed the call, but it should cut down on these things.

goalies are going to take advantage of this and turn it into a mess.

Agreed. I think because he didn’t get up on his feet they say he didn’t get set. Unfortunately that sets the precedent now for other goalies to just not get up when they get hit.

Things will get changed I’m sure but for now the leafs got screwed.

Also loved babcocks interview after saying raanta would not have stopped it either way lol

My issue is that goalies go down on their knees all the time. They rarely stand up so it looked like he was set.

The funniest mascot by far is Benny the Bull for the Chicago Bulls.

I have a bigger problem with the Leafs not being up 6 - 1 at the time of this play so it didn't matter what the refs called.

Don't leave the game in the refs hands. Especially against Arizona.

Don't leave the game in the refs hands. Especially against Arizona.

Leafs played terrible period, but did not give up any even strength goals. The disallowed goal was not the only example of brutal officiating in the game. Penalty call on Marner - that resulted in a goal was a bullsh!t call. Domi elbowed Matthews in the head at centre ice - could have easily been a 5 minute penalty - no call made, Andersen was run over behind the net - no call. Perhaps if the Leafs would have had a 4 powerplays with one penalty the score may have been a little different.
