That is the thing... how are wel losing 1-0?? Damn guys c'mon!
We've been utterly ugly with turnovers and just sloppy passing. We kill ourselves more often than not. Entries are attrocious. Stretch passes have stopped working for the most part because teams know to take those away. And every team has figured out we skate it up, have our forwards standing still at the blue line then try and either get it through the wall of defensive players, or dump it in and hope to grind it out and get it back before they clear it.
Really the guy coming up with it needs to get over center and send it in letting the forwards skate in with some speed, push the other team in deep and get on them. Adopt a similar forecheck to LA two in low and hard to force the turnovers. Forget cute passes and dropping the puck all the time and holding everyone up. |

The stretch pass is another trick we were using to great success for a while, but I think teams have caught on and have been watching for it most of this season. Nowadays when we use that too much it mostly just seems to result in losing possession and then counterattacks by the opposition. It annoys the crap out of me. I noticed that happening all the time during our first losing streak this season.
Ah crap. Figured Florida would score eventually. - Thecakeisalie
I agree it worked for awhile. It’s getting stale now though.
When fans can pick out plays is probably when you should start changing it up. Other teams are getting paid a helluva lot more to figure this crap out in game tapes. |

Yeah you almost this day and age need a couple powerplay options and a couple breakout options and when one stops working you go to the backup plays, then switch back once teams start to lock that one down. |

Yep.
When gardiner gets the puck on a power play you know he is going to do the sideways shuffle carrying the puck and throwing it backwards to the trailer. Regular 5v5 he might do the sideway shuffle but continue forward into the zone. Need some change ups. |

Gardiner
Honestly I think when we start to get a few new faces in and some of the remaining old guard are phased out things might change up more too. |

Honestly, I'm not ok with this "win 6 then lose 6" strategy. |

It reminds me a little of the car, then Phili losses. Atleast they aren’t going on that California swing after. |

I don’t think they’ve been shutout this year.
I’ll be surprised if that happens tonight. |

Its so wierd we either light it up or play defence, we can't seem to find a balance between the two

That and have to wonder if Babs sticking to the same lines is starting to get too well scouted and shut down by teams too. |

I’m surprised there wasn’t a random goalie interference call. |
