Soon he will discover that Edmonton is flat.

"Chiarelli engages the engine. One last time he runs his finger over his photos of Lucic and Maroon taped to the inside of his cockpit. In a moments notice he is screaming down 105 st screaming "MCDAVIIIIID!!" He is airborne, the frozen Edmonton tundra reaching before his eyes. Then he spots them, Hall and Eberle, waving from atop West Edmonton Mall. Tears begin to fill his eyes as he hit's *eject*. Careening through the air, Chiarelli reaches for the cord to his backpack filled with truculence and grit. He was never seen again..."

We will have to see where they rank in a month again.

I have a hard time seeing the oilers and buffalo climbing out the basement. It's tough when you're behind the 8 ball so far already

- Aaron_85

They've dug holes that are too deep to get out of.

Oilers currently on pace for 62 points. In order to get 95 points (a playoff spot), they need to play the rest of the season at a 65% winning percentage - the equivalent of a 106 point season. Not impossible, but highly improbable.

Sabres are even worse. Currently on pace for 55 points. They need to play the rest of the season at 66% - the equivalent of a 109 pt season. Considering they were a 78 point team this year...well, let's be honest fellas, it's over.

He'll be so bored he'll stage a real fire evacuation to ensure the management team is up to snuff.

Pretty much. It would take that massive run the Senators did a couple years ago to make it into the playoffs. The 3 point games really stifle gaining ground.

What’s the lineup for tonight? The same as the one that lost last game, or the one that won the game before?

Just because the Sun couldn't afford a half eaten McDonald's fish sandwich doesn't mean someone like the Star or Bell couldn't.

Steven Seagull = Howard Berger. Confirmed.

This actually makes so much sense. We all thought "hey, he eats stale french fries off of the ground. Obviously a seagull!" We overlooked the major fact that Berger has probably also at this point resorted to eating stale french fries in parking lots as well!
