Better if DD recoup assets and add that traded contract to the expected $16M in cap space. Which could then be used to sign a fast, talented, scoring UFA who can also protect and compliment EP. Add JV to his line for speed, shot, back check and digging up pucks from board battles. Then, EP can break into NHL sooner then later. You guessed it: Kane EP JV would make it easier for EP to play and thrive next season. - Nuck4U
As someone who has preached obtaining picks and assets instead of dealing them for our future, all that should kind of be put aside when something like this happens to a player. They are humans, and dorsett has a family man. After a surgery and rehab like that, and a statement like the one today, hes dorsett the person not dorsett the trade chip (or what would have been). No disrespect man, just find it a bit off puting |

Auto draft has served me well so far....how are you going to feel when Mathews is the reason I beat you this week and take over top spot. |

This team sometimes!
What was the point of having Wiercioch up for a month - only to not play him at all? Now, he's going to be rusty and his whole year is pretty much a waste. If they weren't going to play the extra defender, why on Earth wouldn't they have rotated like three guys around in the press-box? That way, you don't ruin his season AND you give two other guys added motivation AND you don't harm Utica as much AND you give the guys who are playing well a bit of a cash bonus. Instead, you annoy those other guys AND piss off Wiercioch. Uggh. - stringerbell

No, I got the memo, now that he's headed home it just means no more come backs in games in the 3rd. - Makita
It will be tough, I have faith in Gudbranson's ability to win us games. |

Did he get diagnosed with cancer or something debilitating to life? No. Just his fitness to play hockey. Many people function just fine after injuries in life but can't play at a high performance level. So the concern, no disrespect, seems hyperbolic and really the effect is on Canuck luck. |

This is really ignorant man. The dude went through a ton, and the decision to have the surgery was not only the best option for his career, but his long term health. The fact that he had to be flown home to see a specialist because of his symptoms is probably an insanely scary thing for him and his family. I dont think you really understand the gravity of his injury. Im done talking about it though |
