This is exactly how the last two seasons have gone down. In December/January the wheels fall off. Will this tem run out of steam? Hard to say. Not riding the twins, but Boeser is bound to feel the schedule at some point. Maybe this is the year Bo can actually be productive in the second half of the season. - neem55

I've never tried, you peaked my interest though! Vintage gave me some great suggestions so I'll add that to the list. - LeftCoaster
You said Cab, so I tried to just recommend Cab or Cab based wines.
You can get big, bang rot the buck wines from all over, and lots of different grapes.
Try Monastrelle from south east Spain - Jumilla. One of the better bottles for $20ish dollars is Juan Gil.
As Makita notes, Amarone from north east Italy, but the cheap wines start at around $50, and he good ones go up significantly. They dry the grapes slightly to concentrate the flavours.
Bandol, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, CΓ΄tΓ©s de Rouissillon Village (and others) in France
There are literally too many wines to choose from |

True but that was year. If D doesnβt get decimated so bad the F depth will help us out much more this season. League wide parity means we can end up nearly anywhere. |

Maybe but anytime another team panics or gets antsy to pull the trigger i say do it.
Unless EG fetches a ton we need his size & grit come any PO season. That leads me to Hutton up 1st then maybe Stecher on deck. All upcoming drafts we take high offensive type D til we get a stud. BPA is overrated for me unless a C & it opens up trading options. Until we have elite D prospects to go along with OJ i think we have enough forwards. Trade 1 D & our current depth can allow us to ride it out til new D prospects can develop. - Nighthawk
EG has rebounded after being an initial let down. so many factors. what are clubs willing to pay for him? what are the Canucks willing to pay him? How much does EG want?
hoping JB makes some moves before everyone is healthy. |

All good points π
Teams will pay for EG considering his maturity & grit for PO runs. In the end we get a good haul or we resign him on a good team contract. In the 4.5m range my guess. When Edler gets older EG will pick up some of the slack. |

He stated he wanted around $80 a bottle Cab Sauv, my son bought me a $215 bottle of Barolo last year for Xmas, plus a bottles of Chianti, and Sangiovese all in $450.
So yes Lefty should explore the wine world in greater detail.

Who are the flyers going to trade? Val filpulla and brandon manning only UFA's. Everybody else is under 30 except for injuried Andrew MacDonald and the goalies. After last night I don't think anyone is after a Flyers goalie. |

I agree, I don't mind Duckhorn for a weekly but more expensive wines are for special occasions. |

Yes that is pricey, but that was a gift from my son for allowing him to operate his construction company from my garage, plus use all of my high end woodworking tools for free.
But I'm with you, around $20-$25, and I usually buy something when marked down, like a Peter Lehmans Shiraz, Layer Cake, Montepulciano.

I'm having trouble following your logic. You don't think players under 30 have trade value? You don't think other teams are interested in players under 30? You don't think managers would look to improve positions being held by players under 30?
To me, when I see a big rush of scouts they are most likely there to see younger players. Most teams have a pretty good play book on vets. I doubt there is a huge rush to see what Vanek is capable of. Same with Guddy. I think there is some young player/s on the block and teams want a better look at the unknowns but I'm just basing this on my own string of logic. |

If you are Ron Hextall are you going to trade Giroux, Voracek, Couturier, Simmonds, Patrick, Konecny? I doubt 16 teams were lining up for Weal, Raffl, Leier or Lehtera.
I also doubt that Gost, provorov or another young defender is on the move. Sanheim, Morin, Hagg value is not very high right now.
I also haven't heard any Flyers players name in the rumour mill lately.
Gudbranson and Vanek are both on the trade bait list. |
