They could start them up again with Roman Reigns the Usos and Nia Jax.
- LittleRicky

They'd be fools not to. God damn, it would be so much better if we owned it.

Yes we all know you want us to trade you Klefbom. You can’t have the ab man.

We will give you a Fayne or Gryba though?

This will anger Hendo and Frenchie
- LittleRicky

More like Hendo and Tanner. Frenchie has a good handle on how to use the unicorn stats with some knowledge of the game and actually watching a game be played. Tanner not so much. Also not sure how many Oilers games that Hendo actually watches in full.

I wouldn't say the flames success is because of one line the second line is is playing very good and the third is starting to roll. I do agree with you that they are getting above average goaltending

Once Sekera's back the D. will be fine.

Sukera is missed, but this statement is just mind boggling!

How is it mind-boggling? A D corps with Larsson, Klefbom, Sekera and Nurse is a comfortably average D corps. Depending on how Klefbom plays, they can range from middle-high to middle-low.

What’s with the hate for Letestu? How many other 4th line centers in the NHL are solid on faceoffs, a threat on the PK, able to produce on the PP, and are good for 10/15 goals and 30ish points?
Letestu is not, nor ever has he been, anything but a pleasant surprise. And he sure as poop is an upgrade over Korpikoski.

- Wildschwein

Letestu was great last year, but to say he's been NHL quality this year is ignoring his serious struggles. He's been doing NOTHING at 5-on-5, hasn't been much of a threat on the PP and isn't really all that great on the PK. He's fine, but not anything worth commending a GM for.

It’s funny that most on here call Staples a moron the vast majority of the time but now you want to trust what he’s writing and his analysis of some fancies?

Larsson has not been better this year. None of the d have. He is still making mistakes. Not as many as others yes. He’s still a 2-3 tweeter shut down d with little offense. He strikes me as a guy that is really really really lucky that he can play hockey because he comes across like a caveman with a 50 IQ.

“ uh uh puck...me chop!”

- Iggysbff

Okay, literally NO ONE but you, IHBB or Jero bother to comment on other writers or call them morons. Literally. No one.

You really have some crazy bias against Larsson. Like, honestly.

Most people in these forums have been noticing that he has been playing a better overall game so far into the season (Max and Schwein for example).

All defenders make mistakes. You just hope that your defense doesn't make as many mistakes as the other side.

As for the IQ thing... as long as he has a great hockey IQ, nothing else matters.

I agree with the average statement but the addition of Sekera doesn't solve everything that's going wrong with the Edmonton defence. Talbot needs to pick up his game as well, you still have Russelll playing more minutes than he should be. The forwards need to start scoring. Improvement every where will solidify the d, not just the return of 1 player.

Was about to say... I haven't seen you, HB, or Schwein even mention anything about Staples. I for one know I haven't.

Sekera coming back takes some pressure off the key to our D and bumps guys like Russell and Benning down to a slot where they may not struggle.

He has and is struggling this year yes, but my post was in response to whether or not signing Letestu was a good or bad move by management. As far as I’m concerned, when his time as an Oiler is viewed as a whole, the signing is overwhelmingly positive.

I can’t recall if I’ve posted the opinion that Staples is a moron or not. However I generally do view him as such. I did mostly agree with his article about Larsson though.

Schwein did not OK this trade, thus it is null and void.

Thanks for the wings though.
