Seems like what I've been seeing on-ice is being proven when it comes to the fancy stats. Larsson is developing into, IMO, a more complete, yet an instinctively defensively minded defender. He is more confident with the puck, he is creating plays more frequently and getting more involved offensively, all the while, he is still providing stellar defensive play. Hate all you want on the deal, but the player we got back has been stellar for us so far.

Is the trade still an overpayment? Yep. But considering Chia's negotiations abilities in regards to that video... we're lucky it wasn't Hall for Greene.

PC really isn't that bad at trades. Some reason Isles he has some issue with, but overall he seems to make smart moves and has an eye for talent that isn't being used to it's fullest

Larsson has not been better this year. None of the d have. He is still making mistakes. Not as many as others yes. He’s still a 2-3 tweeter shut down d with little offense. He strikes me as a guy that is really really really lucky that he can play hockey because he comes across like a caveman with a 50 IQ.

What’s with the hate for Letestu? How many other 4th line centers in the NHL are solid on faceoffs, a threat on the PK, able to produce on the PP, and are good for 10/15 goals and 30ish points?
Letestu is not, nor ever has he been, anything but a pleasant surprise. And he sure as poop is an upgrade over Korpikoski.
