You two remind me of some of the great duos in history
Bert and Ernie
Ace and Gary
Maverick and Goose - Reveen.
Ace and Gary for sure. |

So why didn't you answer my question about Yamamaoto and Jesse? Why are they untouchable? |

Why protect Yammy and Jesse P? I doubt either will be impact players or high scorers. - Larsson_fan
I expect them to be our top6 RW's next season. Unless it's a major piece coming back I hold onto them. |

If we go into another season expecting rookies or players who haven't proven anything yet to be our top players we are once again setting ourselves up for failure. |

And you know that Iggy is doing the pitching and Jero is doing the catching in that duo. |

If Ryan Murray for Nuge goes down this team is finished - Reveen.
I'd have to take some time away from watching for sure if that happened. I wouldn't support that at all. |

Good in the regular season. Playoffs won't matter either way now.this season is finished. - Larsson_fan
I'm still glad he's gone |

Exactly. I haven't seen anything that would warrant those expectations outside of draft pedigree. |

Yammy played well in his limited time. He'll get a minimum of 9 games here again next season, and hopefully stays. Pulj has looked good since his recall. He has NHL size and speed and is responsible defensively. If not the top 6 the two of them are in the top 9. |

We know. You hate the player regardless how many points he gets An how poopty the return is. Who cares about asset management? |

I think i read this somewhere before , not word for word exactly and I think Slepyshev was somewhere in there. |

Like all those years Tambellini dithered when it came to moving Hemsky while he had value. |

See Tambilini at the Rocket games every once in a while. He's scouting for someone but wouldn't tell me who. |

Thing is, we’ve capped ourselves into being forced to depend on cheap elc (and hopefully productive) years from both.
Not saying you’re wrong, but yeah, we kinda can’t afford to move either with looch/russel/sekera/nuge all on the payroll at big numbers.
Assuming that looch and russel are totally untradeable. (And on ntc anyway I think!) and that we absolutely can’t afford to give up nuge from an already thin forward group. I think sekera is probably the roster piece we’ll dangle Along with some form of bear/jones and/or our first
With some younger cheaper dmen already somewhat proven and on the big club, it’s those two dprospects that we can kinda sorta maybe live without (1 of em anyway) |

All summer I said you guys should worry about Talbot coming down to earth. Feels like you guys didn't see it coming. |

Both were examples of heavily under selling assests. People were fine last season with the Hall trade because the team was good. They stopped thinking about how we traded Taylor freaking Hall for Adam Larsson. - freelancer
Yep
It’s one of the worst trades in recent memory.
Watching hall carry a mediocre team and the way he’s playing in his prime right now just pisses me off.
Rolling him out instead of looch Along with with nuge/leon after connors line gets the tougher matchup, makes us a beast up front

Better put an APB out for Maxbone and HB77... - Iggysbff
Good news for you is I've taken to watching the Lightning play for my hockey fix and now mostly ignore the Oilers when they're playing. They'll always be my team but I don't need that sort of negativity in my life |

Nah- it’s the nature of the position.
Lots knew it was a concern.
I just think for many he clearly masked or tricked them into believing the oilers were something other than what we really are |

Despite the losing, I'm honestly still fine with that trade. Larsson is a very valuable piece and a type of player that's crucial to winning a Cup. The problem for me is some overall piss poor talent evaluation (pro and amateur) and the bad asset management overall. |

Slepyshev was given every the shot this year but got injured, and has underperformed since coming back. I would personally like to see us stay away from drafting Russians altogether. Paigin getting released and going back to Russia too now. |
