Both were examples of heavily under selling assests. People were fine last season with the Hall trade because the team was good. They stopped thinking about how we traded Taylor freaking Hall for Adam Larsson.

Anyone should be able to put up 50pts playing with McDavid. I watched the tire fire tonight, not here to chirp. I don't understand why they can't go grab some better players from teams who don't need them. Why not target JVR/Bozak/Leivo? Leafs don't need them. I'm sure there's lots of players out there who could improve thier roster.

It's bad because he traded Taylor Hall in part to make room for Looch and we are now in a cap crunch so much that he traded Eberle at his lowest value for a garbage player.....and it will only get worse when he slows his production.

Lucic can produce sure for now but the overall contract is bad and one more example of Chiarelli going back to his Boston model

Every time these days pick a scapegoat he goes on to better things it seems. Except maybe Ferrence, but that was obvious.

Both are on expiring contracts and aren't in future plans. They're a little to old to be part of the core. Bozak hasn't been great this year but he's playing way below his usual production, I expect he'll have a great 2nd half.. JVR is just doing what he does best, deflecting shots into the net. He's one of those guys who great players don't make better, put him in the third line and he'll score 25-30.

He would have been better moving Eberle this summer if they were set on moving him.

That's the question..

Kap, Leivo, Sosh, Johnsson would make the team faster and can match thier scoring pace, but JVR and Bozak have experience and are clutch performers. But at least if they move them they can get a couple pick instead of letting them walk.
