Not sure who the Flyers would part with. Only dmen i see right now would be MacDonald(injured) and Gudas(suspended).
I can't see any of the young defenders going unless the Flyers are getting back a young controllable winger. |

in his defence he never drafted Yak , it was Katz and his sheep looking son who imposed that on Tambillini at time. |

How funny to think chiapet traded the 17th pick for Griffin. That's arguably worse then Boston missing on him three picks in a row. |

hagg for puljavari - Tumbleweed
Have to think.
Sounds about right. But Hagg has shown to be a solid young defender. Not sure Puljarvii has shown enough yet to make it a one for one.
Plus if Edmonton is desperate I want a little more or for them to take a bad deal back.
And right now Hagg and Provorov have shown some chemistry as a top pair.
It would make me think but not sure. |

Ya they probably are looking for D, Right D to be more specific. Klefbom has not been too good this year and they seem to really miss Sekera.
I can't see too much happening with Philly, though. Maybe this rumor has been thrown in for fun. Chia will Never trade Drai, so that is a non-starter. Edmonton has a ton of cap space this year only, so they won't take on a long term expensive contract for sure. On Philly, I can only see some mild interest in Alt, Gudas (maybe) or Manning. Alt and Manning's contracts are ending this year. More likely target for Oilers will be RD. In return? Why give up much? Contract expiring. Maybe draft picks?
Columbus is much more interesting. Would love to get Jones. That contract is Duncan Keith manageable. Give up RNH and maybe Edmonton's first rounder next year with lottery protection. Maybe both sides win that one. He is RD also. His brother is in the Oilers organization. It would be a dream come true.
Jack Johnson is in his final year and Oilers can afford to take on that salary. Wouldn't give up much though - draft picks.
Another favourite of mine is Murray off Columbus. He would be the do-over for picking Yakupov. Of course the rumor was that Oiler scouts wanted Murray in his draft year, but Katz vetoed in favour of Yakupov, the shiny pick. Katz will probably never interfere again. But then again CHIA was likely pushed by someone to get Reinhart in return for 49 draft picks. Too many chefs give you bad stew.
Murray would be perfect but for being LD. Perhaps RNH straight up or less for Murray, because Murray will be an RFA next year and RNH is signed longer term. |

And that's why I pause. Hagg and provorov are giving you the making of a top pairing.
Would I do Sanheim knowing I have a defender like Myers developing in AHL? Morin?
Could Gudas get you Puljarvii? Would they move Strome who hasn't done much so far? |

The D market is all buyers with a very few sellers. Montreal, Buffalo, Toronto, Florida, NJ, Wash, and Colorado are all actively looking to upgrade on the back end.

Jones is not happening given they had to choke out RJ to get him, if Jarmo does it then he's a pure hypocrite.
