I have to respectfully disagree with you. That 3rd line has been dangerous & getting chances, yeah they aren't converting them. So what? Why would you sit Bennett for Hathaway???? & Mangi just isnt ready yet, his time will be next year. If the 3rd line was getting caved in the whole game then Ok, but they look fine, sometimes you just have to wait for the seeds to grow. I see sprouts on that 3rd line. Janko & Benny are just starting to get used to each other & we have won 7 of the last 9 games, why the need for such a change? Versteeg Hamilton/Lazar & Brouwer are fine for the 4th line.

IMO Bennett had so much confidence when he started in cgy but had a very poor overall game as a centre ...while he worked on his overall game he lost his confidence and never got it back ...he used to try a lot of skill moves out there and now he plays a very straight forward game and at times still looks scared poopless to try a skilled play in case he (frank)s up

Just watching the video of PC and his troops in the Oilers blog completely missing the plot on Seguin before he was traded. Seems very similar to Bennett minus all the morons in management. Bennett will produce! Don’t give up on the kid now f@ckers!

Yeah a lot going right for that first line right now.

But the 3rd and 4th need to find their game. Bennett came so close last night. 1 too many moves.

I would be for bringing up Hathaway and Mange. Sit Bennett and Brouwer for a game to see if they can find a spark.

I know Bennett is young, but he has been given a pretty long leash and a bit go tough love is not a bad thing.

I wouldn't go as far as to sit bennett. I think he has been accually playing good as of late. THE time to have sit him should have been about 3 weeks ago, but not now with jankoski and the kid whisper he is playing well. I do agree Hathaway should be brought up. Mage keep him in the minors let him develop.

I don't think Stajan's bad, I just think our depth at centre overtook him. I'd say that he'd be the 4th line centre on most teams.

What do we do with him though? Would any team take him at 50% (I personally think he'd be worth a later pick, at least).

Or do we just keep him around for the added depth? Having a guy like Stajan around in a pinch could be useful for the stretch drive/ playoffs.

The thing with both Brouwer and Stajan is that they are comfortable. Both are on what should be their last contract and both are getting overpaid.

Give me some young guys playing for more than 700,000/year and hoping to get resigned next year, playing their asses off trying to get management and the other team to remember their name.

I am not female doging about Stajan as he has done a lot for the team. Guy's contract was 1 year too long and he gets paid to eat popcorn. Cool. But Brouwer has not done poop. I think he has dropped the gloves 3 times in 2 years, which for a 4th liner should at least be something they are willing to do.
