cool invention, but the least thing that bumhole can do is close the door after he steps outside.

Real solid player. Won't excite anybody but a solid defender with a physical edge.
- MJL

who also likely wont break the bank on his future contracts.

The value on those proposed deals are way off. Gudas is worth a lot more than Maroon, and Nylander isn't available.
- Feanor

We do realize that Maroon would be on the third line here, not playing with Mcdavid, and probably score 12-18 goals a year and get absolutely scorched on these boards for being a slow bum? Worst thing in the world is to get a guy who suddenly does well playing with a superstar, idiotic. Go look at his goal totals pre Mcdavid.

Maroon gets in more trouble than gudas does and is prone to terribly stupid minor penalties. One the games he played vs us in 2015 he had 3 or 4 minors in the span of 1 period. It was horrendous. That being said I wouldn't absolutely hate him on the team but he also reportedly wanted a raise to around 4.5-5 a year. Yikes.

Rnh is imo extremely over rated because of his draft position. He would benefit the team immediately but long term it's another high cap hit and he would be blocking another young player.

I do believe at some point we will move a young defenseman. But it will be for a major need and a huge return I expect. I don't see any of those things on Edmonton except for drasailt and mcdavid

- Tfaehner

Overrated only if you think you need 70 points from a center. He is paid more than he should be because Edmonton is Edmonton, but he is a good, skilled center who plays well in both ends. I am not sure what big center prospect he would be blocking. Either way, I would hope he wouldn't sign another contract here

You're not wrong, but to be fair, Bobby Clarke and Bernie Parent would've gotten scorched here back in the day had there been a here back in the day.

lol! I love how they make the current umbrella seem so unwieldy. It's so awful the old codger can't maintain his balance or even close a car door properly. smh

Can it core a apple?

No thanks, I'll stick with the old fashioned kind.

Were I a STH I'd tell them I'd rather they knock $25 off the cost of my tickets and they can keep the umbrella.

Also, please tell me that the gift umbrella is orange and black.

It reminds me of the old Jupiter Jack (hands free cell phone transmitter) commercial where the lady has a jumble of random cables and adapters on her front seat that she just can't handle.

But if we really want to talk about the best gimmick product commercial ever, nothing beats the Slap Chop, starring Vince (known prostitute beater):

Who said anyone expected him to be a 25-goal scorer if he came here? I said he's be a poor man's Simmonds, meaning he'd play on the 3rd line and give you 10-15 goals with a physical element.

The last thing this team needs is another average to below average forward, much better off keeping our D prospects for ourselves or a package for a sniper.

Who said we should trade our D prospects for him?

Also, I don't consider him a below average forward a la Weise, Lethera, Umberger, Read, VdV, etc. He's a middle-6 forward.

It's almost like he's making a caricature of himself. He's doing an over the imitation of himself being over the top. Also, I love the random food combos, and I like how they all sparkle after he chops them.

Hence why I said average to below average. Wasn't the discussion D help for Edmonton. You think they would actually take Amac?

Over rated as in people think he can land Seth Jones like RyJo did. Coots nolan rubtsov Laughton vecchione vorobyov to name a few. He also disappeared in the playoffs how many of those guys do we need ?

They are in cap hell. Would have to be salary in salary out. Gudas could be an option. Manning might even be a person of interest for them

I think Maroon is going to be looking for a $4mil + contract. He had a nice season last year (42 pts) and is on pace for 50 pts this year.

Again, that's largely due to him playing with McDavid, but either way I think that's the range he's going to get.

If we retained, yes I do. But we do have other players, Gudas and Manning being two, who are not what i would consider "prospects."

Again, no one here wants to sell the farm for him, and no one should expect him to do here what he does/did with McDavid. But he's a guy who is a legit top-9 player who would be an upgrade to 4-5 of our current players and would add some size to our lineup.

Calm down dude.

Only because he is playing with Mcdavid. What ever team pays him that money is dumb. Look at the guys hockey DB.

So do I and I think someone will pay him, so he's basically a rental. Was just a name I picked when someone asked if Edmonton had anything that we could use. Not saying we should trade Provorov and a 1st for him, stick him on the top line, expect 30 goals, and sign him long-term (which somebody seems to think I was implying).

I'm curious to see how this lineup we have looks tonight, i'm optimistic our middle six can turn it around, just need to find the right mix of guys which has been the problem. Seem to have decent pieces that don't exactly fit together.

Patrick Maroon is not something the Flyers could use... He stinks.
