Not saying it would have happened, but Hextall did promote Laughton as a 20 year old in November, 2014 after he had scored 11 points in 13 games, and demoted Blair Jones who had scored 0 points in 4 NHL games to make room.

Vecchione has 18 points in 17 games, but is 24 years old. Read has scored 0 points in 4 NHL games.

They could still waive and demote Lehtera and promote Vecchione. I'd rather see Read given a shot on the 4th line if nobody is going to be called up.

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that Hexy has had some people inquire about D. But to say that anything is imminent, I don't think so.

They have a few players that would be interesting (Caggiula, Puljujarvi) but nothing I'd move any of our young D for, assuming they're not trading McDavid or Draisaitl.
