Appears that way. Lazar hasn't done anything to deserve to be out, but i don't mind Freddy from time to time. People female dog about "Dougie taking up two roster spots," but Freddy has been the perfect spare fwd. He's serviceable when he gets in, and apparently he's got a great attitude towards sitting in the press box.

Hopefully the D looks better today. I wonder if Brodie has some nagging injury? Haven't heard anything like that, but his play has been well below his standard. If he is hurt, he shouldn't be playing. I'd prefer Rass to get in a few more, than have Brodie prolong any injury he may have.

I doubt an injury...and clearly the coach doesn't seem to mind his defensive mistakes or poor breakout pass that gets intercepted cause he's still play 25min/game.
Rather than all this talk about moving pairings, and taking him off the PP, I would just start to reduce his mins
He may just be getting overplayed...exhaustion is gonna affect his skating out of the zone, his mental acuity and lead to more passing mistakes/turn overs.
I think we've seen that Stone and Kulak have excelled recently and in the past, so why not spread the minutes out a bit more?!

I think we need to get Brodie off the #1 PP & put Hammy on it & get Versteeg off & put Gio on the other side. Agree, lets cut back some of Brodie's minutes & see if he can get this shat cleaned up. A win would be huge tonight!!

Watch their power play. They're focused on lateral movement and trying to get the puck down low. They're rarely looking to set up a shot from the point.

I also don't get why people are wanting to change a power play that's been scoring 30% of the time over the last 8 games.

I do! And I agree with the down low lateral movement. Like 95% of the NHL. Does. I am just not a fan of versteeg on the point.
