I agree with you, they are playing well, maybe if Leaf Nation yells loud enough, we can unload favourite son Jim Hughson on them. - winsix

The Leafs suck and will never win the cup but we need to do what they did. - Feeling Glucky?
Toronto did a very good job rebuilding their team. I don't see many people arguing with that.
I do hope they never win but that's completely beside the point. |

This season feels weird at the 20 game mark. Right now, I feel like every team that isn't Tampa (/St Louis too) or Arizona is in such a blender. |

buffalo and florida are basically in arizona territory.
over the next 10 games, a few more teams should start separating from the pack at the top. maybe pens, kings and ..... leafs! |

Maybe the Leafs would take a chance on him. Have not been impressed the few times I've seen him play. Really slow, like slower than Polak from what I remember.

ewww.
i think babcock wants a polak type player. polak seems slower coming off his injury.
borgman is much more dynamic player, and i like him long term. but i think a he needs some time in the ahl; especially learning to play the PK. |

Such a well rounded team. Offensive depth headed up by an amazing duo on the top line. Good/OK defensive depth lead by a stud. Then a quality young goaltender.
St Louis has had a bunch of "this should be the year" seasons so I can't really ever get sold on them. Tampa is looking like a team that will contend for at least a few years. |

Different school of thought I guess.... I for one rarely blame the guy receiving a hit when the decision of how a hit is thrown belongs to the hitter.
And I think it's farely easy to blame Kadri there, his intent WAS to hurt a player after being victim to a gutless cheap hit just before.
And my opinion has not changed, at the angle he was coming from, Weber couldn't have seen him coming and reacted. - Scabeh
I agree Weber didn't see him... but that is partly his fault. The way he was positioned would mean only someone coming from the boards could hit him. He did have his head up.
The issue I have with the hit is the follow through of Kadri's elbow which may or may not have resulted because he actually mostly missed Weber.
I think Weber saw that elbow sticking out (when he finally lifted his head) saw who threw the check, and was pissed off because he believed kadri blatantly tried to elbow him in the face. So I don't blame him. lets remember this is all happening at pretty fast speed and these guys are focused on other things at the time too

Well Kucherov is signed at a discount until the end of next season.
Vasilevsky will get a major raise in 3 years as well.
So there's the window with this group.... after that choices will need to be made. |

I think so. It's hard to figure out what he's saying.
You know when you're drunk and start a new thought before you've finished the previous one?
He's doing that. He can't stop slurring as well. |

I didn't have sound for a lot of the game but at one point were they showing betting odds for which game he will return? Is that what HNIC was displaying? |

I don't recall seeing that, but I was at a friends house and didn't watch the whole game.
But I think there was a website showing betting odds of when/if he'll ever return.

Tampa is excellent, Yzerman has done an amazing job of signing players for under market value .Leafs have a few very good contracts as well. Seems to be a good way to go. Connor Brown will make 2.1 million and is on pace to score over 30 goals. How many of those are there in the league?
