On pace for 131 points.

This means nothing because it's not sustainable and the standings are random

Tanner was on here after the Leafs won 5 in a row (4 without AM) and said the Leafs had just played four of their worst games of the year. It was a statement soley based on shots on net. I remember many many years ago watching the Habs play the Red army on new years eve. The game ended in a 3 -3 tie, Monteal outshot them something like 40 to 13, and to this day many say it was the best hockey game ever played. No one says Red Army was crap and only had 13 shots. They beat Dryden the best goalie in the NHL 3 times on 13 shots. Quality of shots counts Holy crap! Maybe not Leafs best, but to compare them to some of the ugly losses was a bit over the top.

Did the Leafs get outshot on Saturday? I remember watching Montreal make useless bad angle long shots dozens of times. Over and over, their corsi rose while their chances to win the game went down the poopter

the way the rules are, it's a clean hit.

i think it's the puck carry's responsibility to keep their head up. you gotta know hits are coming.

Yes they did 33 to 31. I recall the Leafs were outshot pretty badly in the first period. But like I said, who cares about shots on net? Its about goals, good example was the missile by Matthews (his second goal) Its only one shot, and zero goalies in the NHL are stopping it.

I think the cockbreath would've been more indicative of referring to you as Lums than the whole high and mighty bit.

Have to admit, I looked a little after the game, what's all this stuff about Carey Price?

I hate it when people continuously misspell players' names. These guys have been in the league for a few years, you've seen them talked about, and likely talked about them yourself many times, so just get it right. It's Jack ECHL.

Jesus.

I'd like him more if he just stuck with scoring goals.
- Scabeh

Do you think that Kadri and Gallagher may be similar in style. Both play well with an edge to their game. Gallagher just doesn't have the size to coincide with a bad temper.

Marleaus been a bit quiet lately but overall has been great. (Probably from playing lots of C)

I think Hainsey has been the pleasant surprise for me. Pens fans (and many other teams for some reason) had us believing that he'd be some horrific Marincin level liability. Was he disliked by Pens fans because he was expected to be a #1 D or something? He's been pretty damn steady so far.

- markmark

Yeah he's not flashy. But always seems to go to the right areas when defending. Especially on the pk.
