It will be an unpopular decision, but I still believe the decision was the right one against the right opponent.

The Bills are not in this to max out at Tyrods ceiling. He proved that all season (and in the prior two). If Tyrods not the right guy, the Chargers were a good opponent to see whether Peterman IS.

Just because the answer was “no” doesn’t mean the question shouldn’t have been asked.

Couldn’t agree more.
They needed to see who he was and after 2 complete no shows the weeks before, the failure was on them as a team and pushed McDermotts decision forward (prompted of course by Dennison’s ultimatum)
People will say that the loss is on McDermott and will likely drive them out of a playoff spot as a result, but
1) forget the 2 blowout losses gave serious concern about winning against the Chargers
2) assume the Bills would have won yesterday because of Petermans performance ... this of course was a 50/50 proposition anyway...maybe even less given Lynn knowledge of a Tyrod s limitations.

Well, let the prognosticating and blame-gaming begin!

You did not seriously use the term EASY WIN when referring to the Sabres did you?

And, was it just me after 3 Bourbons in, or did TT look different...more of controlled scrambling / throwing on the run...which is his strength. Seems like he virtually said F-you to Dennison and did what he is most comfortable with.
If so, good for him...hopefully he keeps that attitude and does what he does goin* forward.

This is accurate. There is now zero doubt that drafting a quarterback next year is a necessity.

I also think this could serve as a wake-up call to Taylor. They were clearly not happy with him refusing to throw the ball and take chances, nor should they have been. While it was garbage time (as was Peterman vs. New Orleans). He did look more willing to take chances with his arm. At the very least, they showed they were serious about wanting Tyrod Taylor to be more aggressive.

Again for the billionth time I say trade Kane now for badly needed stud defenseman.

If they were serious about a playoff run, they should have waited until the offseason. I know he only took 20-some percent of snaps, but when he was out there, you had to double team him, even if he just laid down and took a nap after the snap. That freed up other people to make plays. Not knowing when he would be out there also meant you had to call a double team in the middle. They don't have a single other player, linebacker or lineman that is capable of overpowering a blocker on a consistent basis.

I think Ryan Vinz would have fared better in goal than Peterman did at qb.

Let’s see where the Process takes them.
They need
-QB
-DTackle or 2 (2 if Williams retires)
-LB or 2
-OLine or 2 (RG, RT, LT(?))
- Speed WR

Clearly they can’t secure all that through the draft
Interesting to see who the FA targets will be.
I continue to push for them to go after Cousins in FA, and would target a WR there as well...2 positions generally that takes until year 2 or 3 to produce.
Focus on DL and LB’s with early picks and get a shut down D.

how the Bills even got to 5 wins this season is beyond me

meanwhile Ryan Fitzpatrick 275 yards passing 2 TD's no INTs... I've said it before, Ryan Fitzpatrick never gets cut by us, we've made the playoffs once or twice in the past 5 years.

Agreed with all but the bolded

Tyrod was the only player that showed up against the Jets during that Thursday night game.

That being said, Dennison needs to go if what was posted about him demanding Tyrod be benched or he was going to quit is true he should be fired right now.

However the defense is a dumpster fire.

Ironically, Mike McCoy, the guy McDermott supposedly wanted as his first choice as offensive coordinator, was fired by Denver this morning.

I don't understand why coaches continue to try to insert a square peg in a round hole.

You HAVE to cater your systems to your players strengths.

Rex screwed up the defense when he went to a 3-4

Dennison is screwing up this offense with his zone blocking schemes basically killing the one thing that line does well for McCoy, and then taking away your QB's strengths by making him be this quick read QB.

There is a reason Petterman threw 5 INT's yesterday, Tyrod escapes the pressure so well he doesn't get hit while in the process of throwing the ball (or he tries to run out of it and gets sacked but most importantly he protects the ball)

For all of Tyrod's weaknesses, one of his greatest strengths was shown yesterday with how much he does moving in the pocket. If anything his scrambling ability hid a lot of the OL's shortcomings (and they were already bad enough)

So Tyrod, McCoy, Glenn, Ingonito, Eric Wood, Mills, etc all wont be here next season?

Read the entire post before you pick one thing from it.

As a matter of fact the first thing I said was about the zone blocking schemes not working for the line and McCoy

Have you not seen the roster turnover in one year?

It’s quite possible most of them are gone after this season.

Isn't McCoy's contract up after this year? He may not end up being here next year either.

Find me a team that replaces their entire starting OL, QB, and RB in one season

Your point sucks, you just wanted to bash Taylor here.
