I feel like Brady's relationship with Guerrero is somehow going to end up in court someday.
- johndewar

If it does, Tom Brady will just walk up to the judge before the trial and say, "Hey Mr. judge...you know, I AM Tom Brady," and shoot him that million dollar smile. The case will immediately be thrown out.

Sorry, I think they play the Washington Capitols several more times this season.

Got to meet Provy today, who was pretty genuine. You could tell he was a bit wide eyed when it came to it, but before the cameras and huge lines we were just shooting the poop. Maybe that's because I was similar in age and not hitting him with rapid fire questions, but he was a pretty cool guy. We actually ended up talking a little about Gudas' impending suspension and what he'd like to see happen with the D. I asked I wonder if we see big Sam and he smiled and said "I wouldn't complain about it!" Then he mentioned Amac was skating, and at the end of the day he's "comfortable playing with anyone out there".

Got other autographs from Myers, Sanheim, Morin, NAK, Martel, Coots, and Laughton. Jake was clowning, but unfortunately he had to leave before I could beat him in the ladder throw. Coots was pretty good at it, I was no match for him. I jokingly asked him why he had his teeth in and he joked back he's gotta look good for the girls

NAK and Martel were having a blast- they were together near one of the games on the ice. They were totally soaking up the attention. Morin too, he was by himself mobbed by people. You couldn't miss him though. Big smiles and outgoing personalities. Martel caught a stick in the eye a few games ago apparently, and I pointed it out and he said "yeah someone was trying to make me look mean I guess". As I was leaving NAK and Martel I said hope to see you guys with the big boys soon and they both went "oh buddy you have no idea".

I beat Sanheim in cornhole. Just saying. He was kind of a character, trying to distract me as I was throwing. Laughton was kind of shy, but still had no problems interacting when it came down to it. He was Sanheim's partner for cornhole. Me and some staff volunteer guy took them down. Stick a fork in em both.

Konecny was clowning around too, but I didn't have time to meet him. He was laughing a lot though and so were the people coming to see him. He seems like a real character, it's not surprising he gets under peoples' skin on the ice with how much he talks off of it!

I also saw Jonesy, took a pic with him and wished him a belated birthday. He said "I've gotten a lot of those, I guess that's what happens when you get old!" I laughed and said don't be so hard on yourself you could still play with these guys to which he said "yeah I'd slash them then sit in the box all game" Saw Coatsey in passing, shook his hand. Took a pic with Bernie as well, such a nice dude. Not the first time I've met him but I never get tired of it- nobody has that genuinely happy twinkle in their eyes like Bernie.

Got glimpses of G, Simmer, Ghost, and Patrick as they came out from the locker room when I was waiting for Provy. Patrick had on leather high top Converse and skinny jeans with his jersey. It's easy to forget some of these guys are 19-23 yrs old, and I had to chuckle at that glaringly 19 yr old fashion choice. He was stopped by a few elementary schoolers waiting for their own respective players, and happily obliged autographs and a quick picture.

This was my first carnival. Hopefully not my last but definitely my most memorable. Hopefully some of these guys end up being good so I can use that puck to pay off my loans

Enjoyed your blog, must have been a blast. I had the occasion to take Canuck oldtimers fishing many years ago, Darcy Rota, Hank Cahan, C. Oddleisfson, Bob Murray, Greg Boddy, Randy Boyd and despite them being your heroes you find that they are just like us and most of them such great people. Happy for you that you got to meet the Flyers.

He forcefully chopped a player in the head with a large blunt object. Intentional or not, that's the kind of player that can kill a player or put them into a coma. No issue at all with the suspension. I would have doubled it.
- jmatchett383

Totally agree, 20 games would have worked for me. Gudas has lost his value and his repeated offences just do not seem to register with him. That chop to the head was no accident. The sooner he is gone the refs may lighten up on the flyers because Gudas is a marked man.

They did feel he was ready for it. He made the team out of camp and he was going to be called up before he was injured himself

True, injuries sometimes force a move. I'm more talking about getting a full time slot

While I like Gudas' game and am in no hurry to get him off the Flyers....part of me worries if he has moved into "Rinaldo" territory. What I mean by that is you factor in repeat offender and wearing an orange jersey and you are forever screwed even on basic calls. Basically we are at jeopardy of phantom calls from here on out.

May want to kick the tires with Montreal and/or Toronto to see if they would be interested.

I think we've already approached that stage with Gudas.

He hasn't gotten the benefit of the doubt for years now, and it's not going to get any better.

Everytime he's out there, he's at risk of putting you a man short on the blueline, whether he commits an actual penalty or not.

He's been in that territory since the Flyers acquired him.

Guess Im wondering if management still sees him in long term plans or if they wonder if the ship has sailed. Always being at risk of a basic check putting you down a man is hard to live with.

so does it go to say the Flyers are waiving Read in order to bring up a dman (Morin) being Amac won't be ready til Friday at the earliest?

I think they are waiving Read just so they can activate MacDonald whenever he's ready. Then Alt will go back to being the #7.

Gudas still takes up a roster spot while suspended, so they will have 13 F and 8 D.
