At the end of the day, I think it never mattered if Gudas intended to hit Perrault or not (fwiw, I don't think he hit him intentionally or with forethought, but the dude has to control his stick....he did not do that, obviously).

Gudas has a reputation and was going to go down for this incident, regardless of intent, because the optics were so bad, you couldn't not suspend him when it was so easy to do so (i.e.--repeat offender during a meaningless November regular season game).

- johndewar

I have no issue with him being suspended, intentional or not. You have to have control of your stick. It's the number of games that I take issue with. We can argue whether it was intentional or not but at worst I think it was a spontaneous loss of control of his emotions. I've seen numerous pre meditated dangerous actions let go. It seems like who you are and how valuable of a player you are to the marketing value of the league is factored in. No consistency.

I don't know...being a rich, famous sports star seems like he's doing okay at life.

Didn't your parents ever tell you rich and famous isn't all they make it out to be ? Being able to afford anything you want just be terrible. Everyone recognizing you everywhere you go especially when you're as ugly as him? Terrible.

Tom Brady is the epitome of winning, despite what Charlie Sheen may think. Tom Brady has won life.

Agree. Have you ever heard him talk about working out? He's like nah I don't weight train or do much cardio. The in game announcers were saying how this off season his priority was to make sure every deep ball he throws touches receivers hands can't be scared and over throw

Call me crazy, but Brady’s allegiance to snake oil salesman Alex Guerrero also stands in his way to a perfect life.

Brady is amazing on the football field. Complete buffoon and utter moron off of it.

Any updates on the status of Weal or AMac?

Work is boring today. And to make it worse I have a partners meeting at 4. I thank all that is holy that at least it's via conference call and thus I can drink at will during the bore fest that it will surely be.

Watching the rest of Survivor Series now. So far the New Day vs The Shield and Charlotte Flair vs Alexa Bliss have been the best matches on the card, but all of them have at least been decent. Just getting up to Styles vs Lesnar which I heard was terrific.

Did I mention that work is exceedingly boring today?

Thanks. If they are both good to go, they'll need to make a roster move since they are stuck carrying Gudas on the 23 man active roster. With 13 other forwards healthy, I would think they send down Read, rather than Alt. May as well keep a 7th Dman and it saves them a couple of bucks on the cap too.

When was he reported to not be ready, Saturday or for tomorrow? If he was close to being ready to play, 3 days make a difference. Morin will get his shot when they feel he is ready for it.
- MJL

They did feel he was ready for it. He made the team out of camp and he was going to be called up before he was injured himself

There are lots of dumb people on twitter, but I doubt they are all named Frank. That would be an amazing coincidence though.
